What an unforgettable night! 🎬⭐️ Yesterday marked the big premiere of my first ever film, “Quo vadis, Meryem!” at @redseafilm , and I'm still buzzing from the excitement!
Big thanks to @redseafilm teams for selecting our film for this prestigious event, and letting me meet an incredible group of filmmakers and beautiful human beings from all around the world.

One week ago, we wrapped production on our short film project, Saida: Will I Brush My Braids Again by the Wind? Written and Directed by @amine_zerio .

To the people of Rekkada, who opened their doors to us and welcomed us each day with smiles and hope, shinning eyes just to be able to witness the shooting process.

“ Quo Vadis, Meryem! “ is in the 5th edition of @redseafilm
It's a film about the human condition, focusing on the complexity and the depth of our humanity.
Loosely based on Chekhov’s short story “The Joke” (1886), the narrative centers on a woman who urges her partner, during their trip, to truly look at her, to reflect on the life they have built, and to face the truth of their relationship.
“Quo vadis, Meryem!” is dedicated to the director’s muses during his formative years as a writer and filmmaker: Maggie Cheung, Jeon do- Young, Monica Vitti, and Nadia Lotfi.

C'est un film sur la condition humaine, sur la complexité et la profondeur abyssale de notre humanité.
Librement inspiré de la nouvelle de Tchekhov, « La Plaisanterie » (1886), le récit est centré sur une femme qui, lors d'un voyage, exhorte son partenaire à la regarder avec sincérité, à réfléchir à la vie qu'ils ont construite et à affronter la vérité de leur relation.
« Quo vadis, Meryem ! » est dédié aux muses du réalisateur durant ses années formatives en tant qu'écrivain et cinéphile : Maggie Cheung, Jeon Do-Yeon, Monica Vitti et Nadia Lotfi.
