Loved teaching another healthy cooking class at @amigosforkids 🩷
This time we made yogurt parfaits with Greek yogurt, fresh blueberries, raspberries, and strawberries 🍓 plus granola and a few chocolate chips on top if they wanted. They could also mix in honey to make it a little sweeter.
It was so fun seeing everyone build their own parfaits and try new combinations. Some kept it simple, others went all in with toppings, and a lot of them were surprised how good plain yogurt can taste with just a little honey and fruit.
My favorite part was watching them get creative and excited about making something healthy on their own and learning some of the health benefits of Greek yogurt (protein and calcium) and nature’s candy 🍓🫐🩷

This past weekend, we partnered with Caring For Miami to bring the Mobile Market to our community 💙
Families had access to fresh, nutritious groceries at no cost, creating a meaningful impact for so many in need.

For every Strawberry Hibiscus Lemonade gallon purchased, a portion of the proceeds supports Amigos For Kids and the children and families we serve.

April is National Child Abuse Prevention Month, and yesterday we gathered at Jose Marti Park with @amigosforkids to raise awareness and show our support for children.
We also shared an important safety lesson, helping kids understand how to recognize red flags, speak up to a trusted adult, and know that what happens to them is never their fault.
When I was growing up, we didn’t have these conversations in school — not because the issue didn’t exist, but because there was stigma, shame, and silence around it. But silence doesn’t protect children, and it doesn’t solve the problem. I remain committed to working every day to support efforts that protect our children and give them the resources they need 💙 #NoExcuseForChildAbuse
