As this year is coming to an end, it feels like the closing of a twenty-year journey for me as well🥹
Back then, I wrote this novel, but it never felt ready to be shared — too naive, too raw, too personal.
Only now I've found the courage to bring it to life and finally let it go.
Somnium is more than a book to me.
Even my pen name, Amicus, was born from this story: in a way, I’ve come to see myself as a guardian of the fragile border between fantasy and reality.
It feels a little frightening to open this corner of my heart to the world.
But there’s no way back now 🙂

How I create my Studio Printed Line BJDs 🤗
My studio is equipped with modern high-end 3D printers, because print quality is one of the key factors in BJD creation.
Let me take you behind the scenes and show how I work with my new Creality HALOT-X1.
I’m especially impressed by its ultra-fine resolution (14×19 μm pixel size) - the smaller the pixel, the more “cast-like” and smooth the surface becomes.
And I absolutely love how easily the parts can be removed from the build plate - such a satisfying process 😍

It is created by hand in my studio from sculpting to final finishing. Studio Printed Line combines traditional craftsmanship with high-end 3D printing technology.
Not as a shortcut but as a tool for quality, precision and control.
These dolls are made from professional photopolymer materials developed by top manufacturer Resione @resione_3dps specifically for ball-jointed dolls.
Just like polyurethane dolls, they are not toys.
They are collectible art pieces that require careful handling.
Each piece is individually finished by hand. This means the surface may carry subtle traces of the process:
soft variations, micro details, a living texture. They are part of the material, the technique, and the presence of the artist’s hand.
If treated with care, these materials are designed to last for years.

The preorder is planned for 25th April at 6 PM (BST) on my website.
Inspirans is part of the adult line of the Amicus Dolls collection — Studio Printed Line. The number of slots is limited to 10.

🍪The head and feet share the same scale as Equilibrium She and Penelope (all generations)
🍪The faceplate is attached with magnets.
🍪Hands are attached using locking mechanisms without magnets. Feet are assembled with hooks
🍪The doll is strung with a strong 3 mm elastic
🍪Eye size: 8 / 2.2 mm. You can choose a pair of eyes in any colour from my palette. Eyes are made by professional artist @bjdholic

Each doll is printed on high-end printers in my personal studio using top quality resin.
I use a custom blend based on TH-BJD and Anti-Impact resins by @resione_3dps
This material has been specifically developed and tested for BJD production and provides durability, flexibility, and surface quality comparable to polyurethane.

Both skintones have soft, natural shades — not overly bright, yellow, or pink.
