Ciel et mer 💙🩵
Le ciel et la mer se confondraient presque…Heureusement quelques îlots rocheux sont là pour souligner l’horizon.
J’ai aimé peindre ce tableau avec une palette volontairement simplifiée et des teintes resserrées.
J’ai laissé un moment le tableau dans une version dépouillée et inachevée, avec seulement le ciel et la mer… puis j’ai fini par rajouter les îles pour que cette immensité semble plus animée 🪽

When the sky and the sea look so close and similar… A few rocky islands emerge on the horizon to indicate the difference.
I enjoyed painting this landscape with only a few colors and close tones.
I let the painting in a non-final, low-key state for some time with only the sky and the sea… and I finally added a few islands to make it more lively 🪽

Passer par la porte…
Peu importe qu’elle soit grande et majestueuse, petite et étroite, avec ou sans fenêtre.
Changer d’ambiance et d’atmosphère,
Entrer dans un espace rempli de lumière.
Je connais bien cette porte, rouge d’un côté et bleue de l’autre. J’aime ce moment précis, où, en descendant les dernières marches de l’escalier, j’aperçois la cour ensoleillée de l’autre côté de la porte ☀️

Going through the door, moving ahead, having fresh air and entering a sunny place.
I know this door quite well, right on one side and blue on the other side. I like the special moment when I see the light in the yard while I am going down the last stairs ☀️
