Three sisters I photographed last week. Their Mum and I realised while I was there my youngest three are the same age as her three, with both our babies born in April. Love meeting and photographing all these sweet fam’s since we’ve been back home. 💌
You know when it’s been one of those days, you just gotta run down to the beach after school and wash all those worries away. My whole world 🌍 captured on film by me for @miniboden
Motherhood lives in fragments — in the in-between moments, the questions without answers, the things we only realise once they’ve passed.
In our series ‘An Ode to Motherhood’, we invited mothers and creatives we deeply admire to each share a personal work that reflects their own version of that experience — not polished or perfected, but real.
In this piece, photographer @ameliarushforth reflects on the often unseen labour of motherhood — and the importance of turning that recognition inward. Through a gesture both simple and powerful, she reclaims Mother’s Day as a moment not just for giving, but for being acknowledged, celebrated, and enough.

My favourite weddings to shoot are always the ones that are uniquely, you. Chelsea and Dylan’s early morning, mid week ceremony, on their back deck at their home. 🤍
Having taken photos for over 25 families this Summer, I’ve got some serious catching up to do!! Two sold out visits to Sydney and one to Melbourne in studio, as well as lots of home visits here in, Byron Bay. I am thankful to everyone who asked me, it’s my absolute favourite thing to do in the holidays and to gift you all a little frozen moment in time of your children’s spirit, smiles and a little slither of the chaos, is truly a joy and a privilege! More to come.
