Visions Through the Eyes of a Palestinian Prisoner showcases the works of Mohannad, who was arrested and imprisoned for two and a half years for being a member of a non-violent political group at his university, where he was studying fine arts. The conviction rate for Palestinians in Israeli military courts is 97%. On 30 March, Israel made the death penalty legal solely for Palestinians. Enforced through military courts with a 97% conviction rate.
Art was banned in Mohannad’s custody, but he used it to survive regardless. He was able to smuggle some drawings out when he was released. SELECT ARTWORKS WILL BE EXHIBITED AT A NIGHT OF LIGHT. It is our highest honour. His image has been blurred here for his safety.
