Took a long overdue, Alex-filled adventure last week to see Austin after 6 long years from my first time visiting. Thankfully I was there a little longer this go around and got to meet up with @mgoode42 @goodegirlatx & Jackson for a wonderful dinner. Thanks for sharing some of your city with me! ❤️🤠 . . . Rosie & Alex are the most gracious (and cutest) hosts, even when I get out of the car, my keys fall out of my pocket, @montanalaura meets me in-person for the first time ass-up on the sidewalk, we all run to Home Depot to make a magnet-fishing-pole so I can cast a like in the sewer drain to get them back…and be back in time for dinner! . . After we got done cowboy’ing it up around the city, I headed to cross off two more states from my list after catching up with @codyharrellofficial on the way out of Texas. Needless to say, I have not much to report from Oklahoma or Kansas. Shocking? Probably not. But now that they’re done, we’ve saved the best for last… . . . Forever grateful for their willingness to be silly with me…after instilling all of the said silliness in us in the first place. (The gnome they gave @grumpy_child and I as a backyard-warming gift is proof of this, right?) . . . Last summer, just before our yearly roadtrip adventures, I came to @shanleykellis with an idea inspired by our own spin on the beautiful yardtraits I had seen @rowenameadowsphoto do during the pandemic. Thus, this colorful, Dr. Seuss’ian portrait series was born. The night before this shoot, we had taken @bmcfry and @leonardc09 to see @thelmaposts in theaters around 10pm, so an early call time wasn’t a friend to any of us. Nevertheless, we (and our table of never-ending, multicolored props) persisted. . . . Hella proud of @alexengelfilm for his first return to the stage since his middle school glory days as Lucas in “God Given Talent.” Watching your comedy come to live over and over again warms my artistic heart and makes me insanely proud of you for what you accomplished. It doesn’t hurt that you were also hilarious (and incredibly handsome ❤️) . . . Watching you lead a show by running, jumping, and golfing all over the stage while bringing a character to life that is your complete opposite while you were surrounded by incredible actors supporting your rich-boy-chaos-filled-antics was the highlight of my year so far.
