Exciting news!!!! Just recently shipped off Shades of Blue to be a part of the 13th Annual Workhouse Clay International Exhibition juried by artist George Rodriguez! I can't believe my piece will be among such incredibly talented ceramic artists from all over the world π°π₯² Shades of Blue has special magic for me and it seems to be living on beyond what it was to make it!

Summer is wrapping up, and what a whirlwind it has been! Its been the most incredible time getting to know our little work of art. There is so much more intention and purpose behind what creative acts I pursue now. This summer brought so much: unexpected surgeries and its share of tears but simultaneously, the most joy and sense of belonging ever π€
Tomorrow is the artmaking workshop at @contemporaryartsnetwork Offsite Gallery, check the link in my bio for details and registration if you're interested. One last summer hurray to bottle the good feelings for strength+ inspiration as we push forward.
"When There Were Nine" is a group exhibition organized by @rowenafinnartist featuring 19 women-identifying artists responding to the legacy of Justice Ruth Bader Ginsberg through the powerful visual language of her iconic collars.
I am very grateful to have been included in this exhibition. Be sure to visit the Norfolk Offsite Gallery to see the stunning work I am honored to show alongside.
Baby and I enjoyed stepping out and being inspired by all the incredible artists in the room. Its the best comfort to have so much inspiration in this community. It only took me the next day to realize my sweater was inside out and thats...my truth of art receptions as a mom.ππ
Details and shots of the paintings for the Van Wyck Library's Kid's Zone. Along with input and planning with what the library team, I wanted to create images around four major themes that libraries embody for it's young visitors. A place to support wonder and curiosity, the nurturing of growth and community, a reprieve-an escape, and a place of peace, of joy and even play. I hope these inspire dreams of adventure and possibilities and comfort for as long as they reside in the space. I was also happy to include a historical figure πββ¬οΈ of the library to live on amongst the books. Good bye to these four friends, so excited about their new undertaking.
For the last five months I've been working on a project very near and dear to my heart π€ I am honored to have been commissioned by the Norfolk Van Wyck Library to create four new 3ftx4ft works for their Kid's Zone. I have cited children's books as my first experience of the impact that images could have on the heart. They are very much my initial inspiration and reason for falling in love with the visual language. And libraries themselves have been a home for me in various chapters of life. This felt like a dream collaboration. Months of sketches, considering composition, research (thank you Little Bear, frequent bookshop and library visits with Lydie, and a journey down memory lane π₯²) painting and embroidery work. I put so much love and care into these and I am so grateful that it was felt and received upon finally dropping them off to their new home yesterday π These have been a resting place for me (despite mostly sacrificing the sweet sweet hours of break time when baby napsπ ). It meant a lot to have a place to put my desire for protection, love, hope, and joy for the youth in a manifested way, in these warm dream environments bc boy has my heart been going through it.I'm so excited to see these hanging up in the space and celebrating their new work and expansions on May 15th!
10 years ago - unfired clay, polymer clay, fabric, and beads, small clay pot and paper flowers. A reflection of a difficult time in my life, personally, but a reminder for forcibly pulling out the good thats within and planting it.

This is my home-made video diary about works made this Summer as a 2025 @contemporaryartsnetwork artist in residence. I always want to remember the magic that happened during the residency and the significant moment it framed. The CAN is currently celebrating 10 years of operations π« with the exhibition TENFOLD at the Oyster Point Gallery. To get caught up, go check out the exhibition and auction to witness all that the CAN has achieved the past 10 years and all of the artist's lives that have been touched. @matthewstevenpierce and I are grateful to be a part of the CAN's story and have some work hanging alongside so many talented folks. Also support and check out 2026 artists in residence @raintheneo and @creator_flower !
