It’s encouraging to see embodied carbon getting national attention. But what does this look like on site? A few recent advances in policy and awards have been: 📌 The RIBA Reinvention Award highlights outstanding examples of reuse and refurbishment. 📌 The London Plan (2021) requires all major new builds to be net zero-carbon in operation by 2030. 📌 LETI, RICS, and UKGBC are all backing reuse-first frameworks. But policies and awards won’t drive change unless they work on the ground. That’s why real-world evidence matters. At Eversholt Street, we reused the existing structure and selected finishes based on sustainable supply chains and circular principles. At Mosaic East, we achieved benchmark accreditations without demolition, demonstrating what low-carbon refurbishment looks like in practice. The debate around refurbishment versus new build is shifting, let’s ensure the evidence from our projects drives meaningful progress. Read the full article on our take on refurbishment vs new build on our webpage. #LowCarbonConstruction #SustainableRefurbishment #RefurbishmentVsNewBuild

We’re proud to be featured in @Building Design. magazine for our role in delivering one of Clerkenwell’s largest heritage retrofits - The Waterman. Delivered in collaboration with @Fathom Architects for @BGO , this 70,000 sq ft transformation saw four Victorian warehouses unified into a single workspace that champions low-carbon innovation and long-term flexibility. Our works included a full refurbishment and CAT A fit out across the building, alongside a Tenant-Ready™ fit out on the fourth floor, all delivered with a clear focus on reuse, energy efficiency and long-term environmental performance. #WorkplaceRefurbishment #HeritageBuildings #SustainableDesign #AmbitProjects #TheWaterman

#FlashbackFriday ⚡ A Look Back at 7 Bishopsgate, Level 4 Partnering with BGO, we transformed Level 4 of 7 Bishopsgate into a fully Tenant-Ready™ workspace, designed with adaptability, hybrid working and future tenants front of mind. From multi-height hot desking to biophilic detailing and a movable wall between meeting rooms, the space was thoughtfully designed to suit a range of occupiers. A warm palette of terracotta and oak, layered with soft, circular motifs, gives the space a welcoming and professional feel. This fit out was a strategic delivery of flexibility, speed to market and functionality. It was also great to have such positive feedback from BGO about our work: 💬 "I don’t think I have ever had a project where I have needed to do so little - which is a very refreshing change! Thanks to Ambit for just getting on with it, getting it delivered on time and for the requisite quality.” #TenantReady #AmbitProjects #FlexibleWorkspaces #CatBFitOut

A workspace should feel like an extension of your business, not a default backdrop. When the office reflects your culture, people connect to it faster. That connection is how clients understand who they’re working with, how new starters settle in and how your team knows they belong. A Cat B fit out lets you shape that experience with intent. From the layout and lighting to the acoustic panels, sustainable materials, and colour palette, it’s a space that says something about who you are. If your workplace doesn’t say anything about your business, it’s time to rethink the message it’s sending. #OfficeDesign #WorkplaceCulture #CatBFitOut

Last week, we attended the Mix Awards 2025 as finalists in the Project of the Year - Workplace Interiors 30k-70k sq ft category for our work on The Waterman! While we didn’t take home the trophy this time, we’d like to say congratulations to all the amazing teams there on the night, and thank you to Mix Interiors for an incredible evening celebrating the best in commercial design. We were proud to be in the room with so many inspiring projects and alongside our collaborators Fathom Architects and Fettle Design, for our client BGO. It’s always a privilege to be part of this community, and events like this remind us just how much great design is shaping the way we work, connect and create. Well done to all the winners, see you on the dancefloor next year! #MixAwards2025 #CommercialDesign #WorkplaceDesign

Delivered on a challenging footprint with sloped ceilings and structural constraints, the space is now a light-filled, Scandinavian-inspired hub built to support modern teams. 💬 A special thank you to Matt Watts, Managing Director at LABS, who shared: "A huge thank you to Ambit for their unwavering dedication and expert guidance throughout the process. £5,675 Raised for the Cardinal Hume Centre! 🧡 Earlier this year, our team took on two big challenges to support a cause close to our hearts - the Cardinal Hume Centre, a local charity that provides life-changing services to people facing poverty and homelessness. In January, Zac, Matt and Sam completed the Run the Month fundraiser, running the same number of kilometres as the day of the month. Shortly after, Martin and Ian tackled the London Landmarks Half Marathon. Thanks to everyone’s efforts, and the generous matching scheme from our parent company, Workplace Futures Group, a total of £5,675 was raised and donated! Last Friday, the Ambit team had the privilege of visiting the Cardinal Hume Centre to see their incredible work in action, meet the team and present the cheque in person. The visit was inspiring, and a great reminder of why social value remains a core part of what we do. 👏 Huge thanks to everyone who donated and supported our efforts. And of course, to the brilliant team at Cardinal Hume Centre - thank you for the vital work you do every day. #TeamAmbit #SocialValue #GivingBack #CommunitySupport #CardinalHumeCentre

Last night we attended CoreNet Global UK Chapter’s Summer Party - what a setting, and what a celebration! Hosted at the iconic Natural History Museum, this year’s theme, “The Curious Wonders of Nature”, was a brilliant nod to the season, as well as the creativity and connection that drive our industry forward. A big thank you to CoreNet Global UK for bringing everyone together in such an inspiring space. Sasha, Chris and Simon were there representing Ambit, catching up with familiar faces and meeting new ones across the workplace design and real estate community. As always, these events are a reminder of how strong our network is, and how much energy and innovation there is in this space right now. We’re looking forward to continuing the conversations and collaborations sparked last night. #CoreNetUK #WorkplaceDesign #OfficeFitOut #RealEstateCommunity #Ambit

🏗️ Turning innovation into real-world impact. Following a visit to Holcim’s Global Innovation Centre, Ambit has integrated several sustainable solutions into our Rochester Row project - including Holcim’s Ecopact (CEM VI) mix and EcoCycle recycling scheme, helping to cut embodied carbon and keep valuable materials in use at no extra cost to the project. The future of construction is low-carbon, circular and collaborative - and we’re proud to be delivering these principles on live projects. Thank you to our fantastic project team for making this happen!
