**Emotional and sensitive post**
31 years after I was born, I finally came back to the city where I was born after The Great Hanshin 1995 earthquake that pushed my family and I to move when I was 9 months old. The earthquake ripped away from me what was supposed to be my life but at the same time gave me the people and life that I have now 🇧🇷 🇺🇸. Over 6000 died…we were survivors. I was able to walk the streets my parents and godparents walked, visit the earthquake memorial where they left a part of the damaged ground untouched to learn and remember the tragic event, etc.
I also visited the The Palmore Hospital where I was born, the Brazilian Copacabana restaurant where my parents met 🥹🥹, meet the lovely owner (who remembers my parents and I as a baby🫨🫨), and visit the beautiful Kobe Harborland Port Tower 😭
And I did this all with the love of my life by my side learning my history with me 🥹🥹
We are going back to Tokyo tomorrow but I’m actually really sad to leave Kobe already if I’m being very honest. I will be back soon and that’s a promise 🫰🏼🤲🏼

Selfies from Kobe🤲🏼🇯🇵
This city always makes me emotional for so many reasons. The resilience of the people of Kobe after the earthquake to keep going, rebuilding, never giving up, the memories and stories my family left here, and the universe bringing me back here as an adult to create and write new memories and stories.
Thank you Kobe, daisuki🫶🏼🫂🙏🏼
