We work to cultivate a cleaner gold supply chain to preserve & protect the ecosystem & biodiversity, and to strengthen human rights in the Amazon. 🌳
Six Indigenous leaders from across the Amazon. Jewelers. Investigators. Government officials. Scientists studying mercury contamination. Over 50 people, from eight Amazon countries and across the gold value chain, all in the same room, working on the same problem: destructive gold mining in one of the world's most vital biomes.
This was the Amazon Gold Alliance Summit in Lima, convened by Amazon Aid. It was the first time AGA has gathered in person. Deep gratitude to every person who showed up - and especially to the Indigenous leaders who carried the heart of this gathering.
