Every once in a while life reflects something back to you at exactly the right moment.
The night before my birthday, at the Greek Theatre at Seth Rogans Netflix special, Busta Rhymes who performed unexpectedly thanked me for believing in him early on.
That same day and night I received messages from other people reflecting back parts of my life and work through their own discoveries.
When you have spent decades helping shape culture, building people, places, and things, connecting worlds and nurturing careers, you rarely stop to think about the impact it all may have had. We are just going and going and going.
Lately I have been realizing this season of life feels less about chasing more and more about honoring the life already lived. Paying tribute to every former version of myself that kept moving through uncertainty, reinvention, grief, beauty, instinct, creativity, love, loss, and creation.
And what feels especially surreal is knowing that what most people have seen is only a fragment of what was actually lived.
There comes a point where wisdom carries more weight than arrival ever could.
Recently the signs, the synchronicities, and the memories reflected back through other people all seem to be arriving at once and I’m paying attention universe!!!
Thank you for all the beautiful messages, texts, WhatsApps, calls, flowers, candles, gifts, kisses, hugs, and love. I feel it all deeply and I love each and every one of you more than you know.
Very grateful for the journey And very grateful to still be here to witness it.
