Did a little twist on the sourdough pancakes recipe from @wholesomeeveryday and swapped out all the flour for sourdough starter (I like my pancakes sour 😛). Here's what I did:
I combined 3.5 cups of very ripe sourdough starter with 2 eggs, 3 tablespoons melted butter, 1/2 tsp baking soda, 1/2 tsp salt, and 3/4 cup whole raw milk in a bowl. I then cooked the pancakes in grass-fed lard from @millersorganicfarm and topped the pancakes with raw heavy cream mixed with a little maple syrup (both also from Miller's). These pancakes also work well as a butter delivery system 😅

Since the entire entertainment industry is shut down thanks to the coronavirus, I spent the first several days of quarantine sleeping off my sleep debt and when I awoke from my slumber decided it was time to get back into baking sourdough bread again. Pictured are three sourdough starters at different phases of the process.
From left to right: a rye starter that I am cultivating from scratch with wild yeast, a sourdough starter I got from Gjusta in Venice that has been sleeping in my fridge for a year, and finally a starter I picked up from the amazing @liveyumyum just in case the other two starters failed 😆 I'm happy to report they are all thriving on my freshly ground flour that I milled this week. Starting to turn out loaves for some taste testing 🤤

It was a three drink kind of night 😂 Wine to celebrate the end of my stay in Montreal, sparkling water to keep hydrated, and coffee to keep me awake...at 5pm 😆 Boy does working nights screw with your schedule. Oh, and a pistachio and Concord grape sundae for good measure.
Whenever I show up on set it's not immediately clear to most who I am or what I do, and it's particularly confusing to folks as to why I, as a seeming rando, am present on closed sets (can't tell you how many times PA's just doing their jobs have asked me to step away from the closed set because they didn't know I was the #intimacycoordinator 😅). Which is why I was very excited to receive this button on The L Word with my name and title. No more confusion about who I am and if I'm meant to be there! Such a good idea.

Had the pleasure of hanging out with the HBO family last night at the HBO Emmy party. Rumor has it that this year's party could be the last one that HBO throws now that AT&T has acquired HBO. What a bummer it would be to lose such a tradition 😔

The Three Ladies have finally made it to their new home in Manhattan Beach. I'm the proud owner of this lovely (and VERY large) painting by Bay Area artist Nancy Peach. It's two canvases stacked on one another that together measure 6 feet by 8 feet and rather striking in real life. I particularly love the gaze of the woman on the right who is looking back at the observer. I think it's rather appropriate decor for an intimacy coordinator 🙃
