B R U V. @andy_icefab absolutely smashed this 🤯From a rough sketch on a scrap bit of paper and a few reference pics… to this work of art šŸ‘ It’s definitely a SQUEEZE in there šŸ˜… but with the shroud and rad setup, cooling shouldn’t be an issue at all. Few little bits left to sort my end and we’re GOOD Boost pipes being made up now, then it’s back to @jtech_automotive_ for the final bits and plumbing. @andy_icefab @icefab_bespoke_fabrications absolutely knocked this one out the park šŸ”„ Gave him a pretty awkward brief with a few constraints and he still came through exactly as discussed — on time, proper attention to detail, and the kinda fabrication that keeps the tism happy 🤣🄲 Garrett intercooler core āœ”ļø Custom end tanks with hot side divider āœ”ļø Tight 90° inlet/outlets with Wiggins ferrules āœ”ļø Radiator core + custom tanks sorted āœ”ļø Temp sensor boss + drain bung added āœ”ļø Twin Spal fan shroud setup āœ”ļø Was gonna wait until it was all installed before posting… but I’m way too gassed not to šŸ˜‚ Honestly over the moon with the work šŸ™šŸ½šŸ˜

On this episode of Aman doing Aman things. Got all the bits laser cut for the cross member. Big up @_craigsims for sorting it and welding everything together. Designed some shelves for the lower intercooler mounts, got them laser cut + welded up. Went with 10mm pins and little bushes. Whole idea with the rad pack is everything mounts to the intercooler first, then the intercooler mounts to the car. Why? Because the @garrettmotion cooler is bar and plate with 6mm top and bottom plates — thing’s SOLID so made the most sense. Then obviously ran into another problem šŸ™ƒ Mocked the cooler up and there wasn’t enough room for @andy_icefab to work his magic with shroud + fans. So instead of being normal about it, remade the slam panel thinner AND stronger. Bent all the bits up, Craig came back with the hot glue gun again and BOOM… gained another 20mm clearance. Job done. Cooler now sits as far forward as possible and I’m finally happy with it. Also modelled some top mounts which are getting printed in aluminium. Intercooler’s now off to @andy_icefab — can’t wait to see what he comes back with šŸ‘€ Next up: powder coat the slam panel + bits, mount the rad pack when it’s back, boost pipes, catch can, boost pressure reservoir for ALS, then all the plumbing and wiring misery. Safe šŸ¤

No real order to this. Welcome to my brain. Header tank is mounted. Tried it on the turrets first but it looked messy so moved it tight to the engine instead. Looks cleaner and keeps the plumbing simpler. We’ll see if it stays there. Designed a little mount in 3D to use the existing tapped holes on the engine, then got @_craigsims to laser cut, bend and weld it up. Next was the pedal box reservoirs. Got a Tilton one but honestly it looked cheap and a bit shit (if anyone wants it, shout). Swapped to some aluminium ones instead so it actually matches the rest of the bay. Much better. Tried to keep everything as level and inline as possible so when the bonnet’s open it looks like it was actually planned rather than just thrown at the car. Think it worked alright. Boost pipes should hopefully tie it all together. Since the engine’s mounted to the chassis legs now (stronger and all that), I binned the OEM cross members and started mocking up a tubular setup. Sent more CAD and 3D prints over to @sapphiresupply.co … and then more stuff for Craig to deal with. That crossmember is basically the base for the whole rad pack, so started mocking up the intercooler. Using a @garrettmotion core which is sick… but it leaves basically no room for the rad. Like 2mm according to measurements šŸ™‚ So more cutting coming. Plan is to make a tubular section on the front slam so the cooler can move forward another 5–10mm. Craig’s working on the end tanks, then we’ll weld it up and sort mounts so I can send it to @andy_icefab for a proper rad pack and shroud. Boost pipes after that. @jtech_automotive_ will sort the plumbing. If you made it this far, fair play. šŸ‘

🚨 New Product Alert 🚨 We’re proud to announce that we’re now supplying heat shielding! šŸ”„ @a2ex_b dropped off this beautiful downpipe for his stunning Escort Cosworth, which Styledynamics have built a system for. With the engine bay being quite cramped and several key components sitting close to the downpipe, the customer chose to have it heat shielded. Not only does it look great, but it can reduce surface temperatures by up to 80%, massively lowering ambient and radiating heat in the engine bay. This helps improve the reliability of surrounding components while also retaining heat within the exhaust system — improving gas flow and overall efficiency. 🚨 BIG milestone this week 🚨 The lads over at @jtech_automotive_ smashed out a proper pre-Christmas shift, getting the engine onto its final mounts — and absolutely nailed it. The engine is now mounted at 4 points (once the dogbone is finished šŸ‘€). Subframe’s been smoothed and cleaned up too, not only making everything look spot-on but freeing up space for some future goodies… you know the drill 🫔 Loads of smaller jobs ticked off along the way as well, but I’ll spare you the essay 🤣 Now onto the fun, less messy bits. @jtech_dan has already started on the coolant setup, but that’ll get its own update soon šŸ‘Œ PROPA. šŸ”„

We’ve made some solid progress. Sometimes it’s one step forward and two steps back, but that’s okay. Don’t let mistakes go to waste—they’re valuable, often the most valuable lessons of all. Fresh plates have been welded in, and the new @astsuspensionuk top mounts are fitted. The engine is fully assembled, all the fittings are where they need to be, and the new @compomotive_wheels sit beautifully behind the gorgeous @apracingltd brakes. @radiumengineering also kindly supplied a lovely fuel rail and regulator setup. Next on the list: mount the engine, plumb everything in, fit the intercooler and radiator, install the header tank from @a.h_fabrications and the @tiltoneng reservoir for the pedal box—then it’s on to the exhaust, wiring, a bit of paint in the bay, and finally, mapping. Huge thanks to @_jtech_automotive__ and @jtech_dan for all the help so far. We’re finally starting to see the light at the end of the tunnel!

Wheels done and back on finally, bit of a switch up on stance etc, abit of cutting, abit of spacing, different size tyres thank you @holy_pastaa for fitting them different hexes and caps courtesy of @srrhardware , powder coating centres from @southwestwheelrepairs_ (thank you @samwoodisawesome for sorting that!), lips were polished up too thanks to @dholiharvey and thank you to @ksj.uk for dealing with all the shit throw around :) Time to enjoy the summer me thinks šŸ˜Ž
