“Molten glyph” is an introductory workshop on sand casting with aluminium through glyphs. From aluminium windows frames and floors, doorhandles , cables, cases, to computer coolers, memory cards, automotive elements, fabrication machines the material is invisibly-actively engaged in supporting the architecture of our lives. The development and acceleration shapes designs, engagements, culture and languages. With this event I’m inviting you to take agency over the infrastructure, pause, disrupt the circulation chain and engage into a transformative action of aluminium objects by reformulating into personal choice, symbols. The workshop is taking place on 25 of April, at 11:00, Zeelsterstraat 147, Eindhoven. We can offer only 5 spots and implies a participation contribution between €50-€75(on your choice), which will cover the material costs, sourcing, preparation. Please get in touch ❤️

‘Memory field’ Part 1. What makes memory memorable, and thoughts movable? Named a backbone of the world’s digital infrastructure, the device holds information that could be extracted at any time. While digging into a memory device, I captured an organised material and physical infrastructure that extends the possibilities of remembering, acceleration, records the mutual exchange between organic and artificial. The memory is inscribed into perfectly engineered shiny aluminium plate, is supported by a global forces, as human labour, hour rate, contracts, extraction, cross continental transportation system, political relationships, trading, regulations. Developed during Earth Practice with @c_zetti . Thanks a lot for listening, support and being present!

‘If we learn from the past’ suggests attuning ourselves to history as a knowledge of time. Aluminium conceals time, voices and histories. It’s one of the most widely used materials in infrastructure, but also in military and ammo. We took melting as the main methodology to reshape the narrative and bring material to the new action. @stefabodnia developed lettering based on the properties of the material, using ligatures to connect all the letters formed by the process. We used aluminium scrap power cables for the production of the casting piece. In Ukraine, where there is only three hours of electricity per day, these cables play a crucial role in establishing connections. This piece was produced for the project initiated by @kabkdesign @royalacademyofart.thehague . Thanks @maria_neacsu for being the best helper during the process✨

Fired dreams, woven energies, metal politics, matter graphics, observational woodwork and in situ collage. The rhyme of craft and industry, the lexicon of objects. @room6x8 and @vaguegroup present ‘Rhyme and Flow’, bringing together twelve artists and duos from France, the Netherlands, Austria, Spain, Japan, and China: Aliona Ciobanu, Anna Zimmermann @annazimmermann.eu , Chen Tongyi @tonyi__chen , Duan Kaiwei , Gao Yuhang @gaoyuhango , Keimfleck @keimfleck , Pablo Bolumar @pablo_bolumar , Ryota Akiyama @ryotaakiyama01 , Simon Dupety & Maëva Dauriac @simon_dupety @maevadauriac , WELL_WELL @well_wellllllll , Yuan Jiayang, Yuki Hidano @yukihidano . Focusing on material languages, the show presents a series of emerging works with exploratory tones. The exhibition reflects diverse auteurial contexts and narrative approaches, anchored in specific times and spaces, yet generates contrasts, resonances, or complements. Though the particular processes remain locally rooted, design itself functions as discursive, encountering others through echoing rhyme and flow, opening to cultural dialogue.
