In love with this concept from @verticalshakespeare - exploring Shakespeare and Shakespeare’s text in a vertical format is rad! 🪶🎭 #selftapesonnets #sonnet29

‘Tis the season! Looking for that next gig, my friends, and would love anything you may know of! I know it’s tough out there for all of us right now, but genuinely any leads are appreciated.

A wonderful evening with wonderful people. Thank you to everyone that came out last night, you’re all so wonderful and special and stunning. There’s so much right now that’s uncertain and scary and hard, but you all make everything worth it. Thank you for coming out on a Sunday night, thank you for celebrating with me, thank you for loving me. 😊💜 And to my gorgeous love @dicerose_film who schemed with everyone for balloons and cake and flowers and more, you are my joy, my light, my heart. I love every day I spend with you - we’ve been on so many journeys over the last year and we have so many more to come. ❤️❤️ Also - how delightful is that cake?? Shoutout to @yvonnesvegankitchen - it was wonderfully delicious and soooo beautiful.

Awww, went into Powell’s Books on Hawthorne in Portland this evening and this brought such a smile to my face! I loved narrating this book, and it was so exciting to see it on a staff pick list!!

“Narrator Alyssa Appleton takes charge of this offbeat mystery with her confident portrayal of Oxy-addicted PI Tori Swenson...” thanks for the kind words, RWS at AudioFile! This one was a BLAST to record. Give it a listen if you’re into whodunit mysteries with snarky leads 😊

New reel! With a couple throw backs from 2013 when I was on Amy Sherman - Palladino’s BUNHEADS with Liza Weil & Sutton Foster 🙈 I’ve been on this long break from acting while working production and while it’s a little scary putting myself back out there (rejections anyone?) it’s feeding my soul and hopefully also soon provide the funds to feed my body 😅

✨The Scene: The Interview✨ Director & Actor Workshop - Group 1 of Workshop 2 🎬 Director @directorgpayton “When I came into this series of the workshop, I was excited to challenge myself, use the nervous energy of meeting new people and knowing what creativity I have to offer and not be afraid to share it. The greatest thing about this workshop is from the very beginning, this is not a workshop about being taught, this is workshop to literally “work” and “shop” your skills. Iron sharpens iron and as a second time doing this workshop, it’s such an exciting and empowering experience to see the vast creativity and experience within these workshops. Can’t wait to do it again.” Actor @amandalashmit “I came into the workshop as an actor, and I had a great experience working with my scene partner and my director. Not only was I able to get in more set experience, I was able to get ample rehearsal time with my scene partner as well as time to collaborate with our director so that it truly felt like a team experience. I signed up simply looking for more time on a set, and the addition of footage for my reel was a wonderful bonus. Now I’ll have a scene with a dynamic background and shots, interesting dialogue, strong performances, and amazing directing and editing. And I made new friends and connections that I didn’t have before I found the LA Directors Lab!” Actor @alyssaappleton “Although I came into the LA Director’s Lab as an actor with 20+ years of experience, in recent years I’ve mostly been narrating audiobooks, doing voiceover, or working behind-the-scenes in Production. This lab provided such a safe and fun space to flex my acting muscles again, and all the groups came together to problem solve and cheer one-another on. It was such a great two days - and Pam is an absolute rockstar, steering the ship with kindness, laughter, and joy. 😊“ DP @peyton_skelton_cinematographer DP Assists: @pescasio_dop & Kimby Caplan 📍@la.influencestudios 👉🏼 Head to the link in bio to sign up for our email list to find out when our next event will be! #ladirectorslab #directoractorworkshop #directorworkshop #refineyourcraft
