I am elated to say that I am ONE YEAR SOBER today. (Pats self on back) I had had enough. (Literally)
Alcohol served my needs for years but I was sick of being uncomfortable in my own skin, height, social setting or whatever. I was tired of hiding behind booze instead of dealing with my problems. And I was done looking for an escape. I can tell you now that it was the best decision I have ever made. I have been reprogramming my software ever since. It’s made me spiritually, mentally, emotionally and physically stronger than ever before.
Thank you to those that have helped me on my journey, you know who you are. And I hope this can be inspiring to someone that wants to make a life change. I mean if I can do it...❤️ #odaat

My father (on the right) now lives in my memories. And I hold onto them dearly. I think about him everyday and often wonder what he would say about this or that. It was always the this or that that I loved hearing from him. He was a master of keeping your attention. He lit up a room. He was my hero. Happy Fathers Day to him and to all the dads out there. ❤️
Texmas 2025 was a whirlwind. In a couple of days I got to see my Mom, some family and some lifelong friends. (Sorry if IG cut you out of the pic) Never enough time but always good to come back home and put as much queso into my body as possible. I finished The Crown on Netflix last night. I have to say it was one of the greatest television experiences I have ever had. From start to finish I was enthralled and entertained. Whether it was historically accurate the whole time is irrelevant to me. I thought the casting was marvelous and the set design and music were sensational. While I don’t agree with the colonization of it all, I have always been curious and fascinated by the British monarchy…royalty in general. Here are a couple photos of Mummy and I.
Summer of ‘97, @jaredcohen123 was talking to Savannah on the phone and she asked what we were doing for the summer. We had no idea. We had just finished our first year at UCLA. “Go work for my dad in New Orleans” is what she suggested. We both looked at each other and shrugged, “why not”…So we packed up his car and drove to New Orleans and proceeded to have the best summer ever. I learned so much about life…and margaritas. LOL. What a legend! RIP @jimmybuffett :(
Happy heavenly birthday to my father - Mr. Moon. He would have been 72 today and would have talked so much smack to me about how young he really is/feels. His passing redirected my path in life. Recent therapy has taught me how to cope with it in a more positive way and I’m thankful for that. He had a preposterous amount of charisma and an even bigger heart. He made me cry and laugh. More of the latter. Today I’ll celebrate my father…and what a great human being he was. I love you Dad.
