We introduced strong typographic system across all PreBuilt collateral to better communicate their broad commercial capability. A customised headline font, PreBuilt Sans, lends some bold impact with an approachable tone.
Design often involves the subjective. In PreBuilt’s case we decided to strengthen the existing logotype, making it more compact and balanced whilst retaining existing character. Most won’t notice these kinds of moments, but they’re often key to the success of wider systems.
Developed upon the PreBuilt logotype, a new icon with a distinctly modern character opens up future creative opportunities to build recognition.
We quietly celebrated 25 years of Alter this year... the year 2000 was a while ago, so thank you to everyone who’s been a part of Alter through the years and made it what it is today. Now we’re off to catch the summer breeze. You should too. See you in 2026.
Model Citizen is neighbourhood restaurant and cocktail bar in the downtown community of Ventura, California.
It’s an identity expressed as disparate individual logotypes that represent individual voices. This ‘no logo’ approach might sound kind of ‘designery’, but it’s intended as a friendly way of conveying that being a Model Citizen is less about ‘fitting in’ than it is about uniting together.
Especially right now, a chill place to hang with friends is exactly what we all need.
Souvenir riso poster for @monashada Open Day 2025 ☎️👊🐬 Designed by Monash alumni - who’ve worked at Alter (past and present). Based on the statement ‘Creativity Impact Purpose’ we created an exquisite corpse which was revealed and printed on the day. It turned out each of our responses showed off some pretty cool and different riso print qualities.
