SURFING IN SINGAPORE?? 😱 ever since i surfed my first wave in singapore last year, i’ve been wanting to capture our little humble surf break and the faces behind it. this doesn’t happen all year. only during this short monsoon window. and sadly, we might be losing it very soon (explained in the video). so before anything changes, i want to document what we have left. see u all at longkang point this Saturday (21 feb) at 5pm??? 🤪

finally got over my TRAUMA from 2 years ago 🥲 i’ve been dreading back to this point break in west bali because the last time i was here 2 years ago i got SCREAMED at by 3 grown ass men in the water, got trapped in the rocks, and caught 0 waves the entire weekend. it was my first surf trip after going out on my own without an instructor, and i was soooo excited. but ended leaving with fear of coming back to this place. i drove for 2 hours with my surfboard, i put on my swimsuit, wore my zinc, and once we got to the spot i panicked and didn’t want to get in the water even though it was the smallest waves ever hahah thanks to my friends who encouraged me to stop being scared and just try it out - i managed to jump in and caught soooo many waves, met friendly people in the water and even got to practice my cross stepping 🥹 i’m still extremely unconfident in the water especially when it’s not my home break, so coming back to medewi took alot of willpower to even attempt to get in. PROUD OF MYSELF FOR OVERCOMING MY 2-YEAR LONG FEAR 🥳 this is ur sign to just say fuck it and do it

I MADE A WOODEN BOX FROM SCRATCH!!!! i’ve always wanted to make something out of wood no idea why i’ve had this weird dream BUT I DID IT!!! because WHY NOT!!! SURE you can say “inez you know you can just buy the box” or “you can find these boxes in the garbage for free” BUT WHATS THE FUN IN THAT??? AND it was so fun learning a new skill as an adult especially since it’s something i’ve always been interested in doing at one point in my life (not everyone has a wood workshop in singapore lol so that made it easily impossible to learn back home) thankful to all the guys for teaching me how to use everything hahah. for some reason everyone has experience in using drills and know how wood works except me - how did it take me 27 years to learn how to use a drill?????? AND… 4 HOURS LATER I MADE A BOX! HOW COOL! my retirement plan will definitely involve me being in a wood shack somewhere making random things
