Not every electronic release is meant for the dancefloor.
Manchester duo Alps 2 explore a different approach on their EP Languages of the Distant Future released via Ad Hoc Records.
Instead of typical club structures, the EP blends hypnotic percussion, warped vocal fragments and eerie analogue textures into something that feels closer to a sonic landscape than a conventional track.
It’s the kind of electronic music that slowly pulls you into its atmosphere.

Modern life exchanges spiritual meaning for scientific development. It has been phenomenally successful, although the division of these two realms, as useful as it has been for ending poverty, now threatens to destroy the world we inhabit. So our journey into thought pieces and podcasts is a month in. It’s a completely different mode of artistry which has taken a lot of time and effort, and with a busy household, is met with plenty of interruptions and distractions. It’s fun though! We have more interesting content on the horizon.
