Another good one in the books. Combo of the company and unreal skiing will reset the mind and soul.
We did something similar a few years back but skied only Ritter. This time around, we toured out and set camp. The next day were an able to summit Ritter and Banner in one swoop. We returned to camp for a second night, enjoyed the sunset and a clear Milky Way.

Mt. Tom. It pops out visually more than any mountain around Bishop. Our 2 am wake up to climb 7k was worth the down, perfect spring conditions the whole way. The crew was firing. #easternsierra #california
Checked some new lines off the list today, for what turned into a highlight spring day on the West Shore.
First lap we skied Train Tracks [slide 1], which standing on top of, made me feel I was on the East Side, but is only just down the road from my house. Despite all the snow we had this year there were still cliff bands in the run, which added a fun level of commitment and is probably why it’s not skied very often. 📸 @blasttony
Second lap, we skied Dog Leg alternate, which is a spur off the main chute. It had a blind entrance so there was some unknown; none of us had skied or knew too much about it. It’s another line that only comes in on big years. It all worked out and offered absurdly good corn turns on steep feature filled terrain.
Pretty excited to do a lot more of this and be in the second best part of the season. Get it while you can!

Yesterday was the last day of my 30’s and I can firmly say it was a special one, spent with good people. I was able to hit Emerald Bay with @tahoe_t_ho and @chasing87colours in the best conditions I’ve had it. The past decade has been a wild ride and today I am 40 years old, still feel like I’m 28ish. I am very thankful for family, all my friends and to call this place home. Caught the sunset on my way down to Mammoth to say goodbye to the last 10 years. Here is to the next 10. 📸 @chasing87colours

Got to go to Portugal for work back in June and ended up staying for about two weeks. @abbe_gage met me there and we rented a car to get around. It’s an amazing country, certainly less busy and cheaper than the rest of Europe. Good seafood, cities, and empty beaches. Would love to go back when my shoulder is stronger and get some surf. #portugal
