We are beyond grateful to officially share that over 275+ models applied to be part of the inaugural Midwest Swim Week. The amount of talent, energy, support, and excitement surrounding this event has honestly been amazing to witness. One of the most special parts of the auditions was seeing people travel from all across the Midwest to attend. We had models drive in from multiple cities and states, with some traveling several hours just to be there. During the application process, we received submissions from Nebraska, Arkansas, Chicago, Missouri, Kansas, and many other places throughout the Midwest! That is exactly why Midwest Swim Week was created 🤝 Our vision has always been to build a platform that celebrates and elevates the incredible talent that already exists right here in the Midwest, including models, designers, photographers, creatives, and artists who deserve a bigger spotlight. We also want to give a major shout out and thank you to @thekcbeautycollective for allowing us to host our in person casting auditions at your beautiful space. We appreciate you so much and are incredibly grateful for your support. 🤍 To every single person who applied, attended the auditions, shared our posts, supported the vision, or encouraged others to apply, thank you so much. Your support means more than you know. With more than 275 applicants and only 40 model spots available, our selection team now has an incredibly difficult decision ahead. The amount of talent we saw was truly inspiring, and we honestly wish we could include everyone. Over the next few weeks, our team will carefully review applications and audition footage before final selections are announced. If you are passionate about fashion, swimwear, beauty, lifestyle, events, media, content, or helping capture the energy of something new in Kansas City, we would love to hear from you! Selected media applicants will be considered for opportunities to help cover the Midwest Swim Week fashion shows taking place August 5th through August 8th, along with opportunities to be part of our private VIP invite only media, influencer, and content creator events happening in June and July. 📧 MIDWEST SWIM WEEK CASTING UPDATE ☀️⛱️ First off, we just want to say thank you so much to every single person who applied to be part of the inaugural Midwest Swim Week here in Kansas City this summer. The excitement, support, and energy around this event has honestly been incredible to see, and it means so much to our team. 🙏 Over the past few weeks, we’ve received 250+ model applications for this year’s event!!! 🙌🎉 We are truly thankful for every single person who applied. However, with less than 40 model spots available for this year’s Midwest Swim Week, our model selection team has some incredibly difficult decisions to make. We genuinely wish every single person could walk, but unfortunately that is just not possible for this year’s event. From those online applications, our selection team carefully reviewed submissions and selected a limited number of models to move forward to the next round, which is our official in person casting audition this Thursday, May 14th from 6 to 9 PM. At this time, emails have officially been sent out to ALL applicants, including: ~ Models selected to move forward to the in person casting audition ~ Models who were not selected to move forward this year However, we’ve now learned that a small number of applicants may not have received any E-Mail at all. If you applied and have not received ANY email from us yet, please check your spam& junk folders. If you still do not see anything, please send us a DM with your full name and correct email address so we can make sure you receive the proper email from our team.
