Iran années 2000. Dans l’ombre de l’invasion américaine, une famille élargie de réfugié·es afghan·es tente de reconstruire sa vie dans « le pays des frères ». Une odyssée sur trois décennies où Mohammad, un jeune étudiant prometteur, Leila, une femme isolée et Qasem qui porte le poids du sacrifice pour sa famille, luttent pour survivre à ce nouveau quotidien incertain.

☀️Ester élève seule David, son fils, atteint d’une déficience intellectuelle. Cet été, elle rêve d’un peu d’insouciance chez des amis en Italie. Mais après une crise de David, la tension monte, et ils se retrouvent exilés dans une vieille caravane au fond du jardin. C’en est trop pour Ester. Sur un coup de tête, ils prennent la route. Quand Zuza, jeune routarde sans préjugés, embarque à leurs côtés, un trio bancal mais sincère se forme, entre joie fragile et liberté inattendue.

Το πένθος της παίρνει αναπάντεχη τροπή όταν, σχεδόν ασυναίσθητα, αρχίζει να παίζει τον ρόλο της νεκρής γιαγιάς της. / Cata will see her summer vacation disrupted by the absurd and sudden death of her grandmother, which only she witnesses. Her grief shifts when she casually turns to play pretend, transforming into the deceased.
