Road trip completed. Saw many things. New friends, old friends, beautiful places, boring places. Hours and hours of driving. Hugs from family. Lots of swimming. Played guitar. Sang songs in my car. Hot hot weather the whole time. No A/C. So much sweat. Learned how to build stuff. Got muddy. Had a nice time.

This summer has been full of much needed play. The type of play that gets me out of my brain and into my body. The type of play that makes me feel the freedom of childhood. The type of play that stimulates all my senses through the weightless passing of time.
I am beyond grateful for being able to prioritize that time, and for all the people i get to share that with through conversations, dancing, laughter, music, and more. It feels like a newfound appreciation for myself and a connection that i have been longing for.
This year has been about cultivating compassion for myself, in a time when i needed it the most. I’m finally learning how to do that, after years of what seems like the same lessons over and over again. I want to continue living with kind curiosity for who i am and the world around me. Anything less than that isn’t worth it.
If you have the capacity to do so, go play! In whatever form that might be. Our minds and bodies love it :)
Red Ants Pants makes ya wanna dance!💃🏼
