On the occasion of Castello di Rivoli’s 40th anniversary, Allemandi invited us to design a special book in partnership with Scuola Holden. The design takes cues from literary novels, collecting stories from Holden students that lead the reader on an imaginary voyage through the museum’s rooms. The layout includes inserts of hand-lettered calligraphy and visual poetry. The cover showcases an original piece created specifically for this edition by Anna Boghiguian

A month has passed since the opening of Arte Fiera, Italy’s longest-running modern and contemporary art fair. We had the pleasure of working alongside the direction to curate the entire visual identity and communication strategy. The concept is rooted in an image that is both essential and evocative: a horizon, a rising sun, a new beginning. We moved away from pure decoration to create an “atmosphere”—using bold colors and simple shapes to build a welcoming mental landscape. The iconic “bollino” 🔴 evolved into a dynamic element, rising from a line to symbolize openness and infinite possibility. A minimal gesture with a powerful narrative. From digital to physical spaces, the identity came to life across all formats.

Brownbook Issue 73, The New York Issue, turns its gaze to one of the world’s most layered and cinematic cities. For this edition, Al mare. Studio curated the art direction, shaping a refined and elegant magazine with a strong emphasis on photographic research and editorial rhythm. Conceived through a carefully constructed visual narrative, the issue offers a curated perspective on New York’s cultural, artistic, and architectural landscape.

After 30 years of shaping the contemporary art scene from Milan to Liguria, Raffaella Cortese chose to envision its future with a new visual identity and website— a necessary evolution rooted in reflection and imagination. The refreshed logo doesn’t just update the image; it mirrors the gallery’s legacy and its ongoing curiosity. Accompanying the gallery name, a sinuous tilde becomes a distinctive mark: a breath, a wave, a sign of continuity and movement. This subtle yet expressive element communicates dynamism, rhythm, and openness, embodying a gallery that remains anchored in deep cultural engagement while opening onto what’s still to come.

For the exhibition “Jeff Wall. Photographs” at @gallerieditalia Torino, we designed the catalogue published by @allemandi.libri and edited by @davidcampany . The 180-page horizontal volume presents the 27 large-format works featured in the show in full and in 1:1 detail, with two fold-outs that unfold the exhibition’s triptychs. Wall, one of the most influential photographic artists of his generation, stages everyday scenes with cinematic precision and conceptual rigor, navigating the boundary between reality and artifice. The display font is GT Cinetype by @grillitype , a tribute to Wall’s engagement with narrative and visual structure in his practice.

Sanam Khatibi: Everything I Don’t Remember, published by Rizzoli is the first international monograph dedicated to Sanam Khatibi. A classically inspired book design, using Chapman font and a restrained grid, leaves space for the artworks and for visual moodboards that trace the artist’s imagery and influences. A vibrant, pop-inspired restyling marks the 48th edition of @artefiera_bologna , following a memorable 2024 in which the event celebrated its 50th anniversary. The new visual identity, designed by @leftloft.design in collaboration with Giulio Ferrarella @almare.studio enhances the fair’s drive toward the future, and its role as a privileged space for exploring the art scene, from the twentieth-century past to the search for emerging or recently rediscovered artists, both nationally and internationally. The iconic logo, still at the forefront, becomes three-dimensional for the first time. Gaining volume and movement also became part of the fair’s installation, enhancing the overall spatial experience. The palette, enriched with pop and unexpected colors, breaks away from the strict red, white, and black corporate graphics scheme to embrace a more dynamic and contemporary visual language. This restyling, along with the new “Prospettiva” section dedicated to research artists and the international hospitality program, emphasizes the fair’s desire to explore new territories, representing the fascinating and multifaceted world of Italian art with an increasingly attentive focus on new generations and emerging trends.
