Here’s to 40 years old! You’re the rock of our family, my favorite business partner, and the best travel companion. I love my life with you and can’t wait to see what the next decade brings—midlife crisis or not, I’m here for it! 😘 @adijacjak

Birthday gelato! We’ve been adventuring through Italy the last (almost) two weeks for Adam’s 40th Birthday and today is the actual day! We found our favorite gelato spot on our last full day here in Rome and it was the best way to celebrate 🎉 🎂

Day 6: A full Tuscany day trip and it was magical! First stop: Siena, where we toured the charming city, explored the stunning cathedral, and picked up some treats to take home to the kids. Next, we had lunch at a beautiful winery and soaked in the amazing views. Then on to San Gimignano—a real-life medieval fairytale—and yes, we tried the best gelato in the world! We ended the day in Pisa and climbed to the top of the famous leaning tower. Tuscany, you’ve completely won us over!

Day 5 in Florence: A dream day in Tuscany! We spent the afternoon at a beautiful farmhouse learning how to make fresh spaghetti, tortellini, and pappardelle—plus homemade gelato, of course. The views were stunning, the food was delicious, and the whole experience was SO much fun. Easily my favorite day of the trip so far!

Day 4: All aboard to Florence! We said goodbye to Rome and took the train to our next adventure. Kicked things off with a quick panini + gelato (because… priorities), then dove right into exploring—saw Michelangelo’s David and climbed over 400 stairs to the top of Brunelleschi’s dome for the most incredible view of the city. Ended the night with pear ravioli + Florentine steak at La Giostra, where we celebrated Adam’s birthday with dessert, candles, and a sweet Italian serenade. Florence is already stealing our hearts!

Day 3 in Rome! Took a ride over to Vatican City and wandered through the Vatican Museums and Sistine Chapel—so much beauty in one place! Lunch was a salad in the cafeteria… let’s just say we’ve had better, but we rolled with it. Our dinner plans also changed last-minute (our original spot I had a reservation at and was so excited about was 2 hours away—oops!), so we kept it spontaneous and touristy instead. The real winner? We stopped by this Gelateria for the second day in a row. Gelato shaped like a flower—almost too pretty to eat… almost. Wrapped up the night with a movie in the hotel and now we’re off to Florence tomorrow!

First two days in Rome and we’re already in love! Landed, settled in, and kicked things off with pasta at Osteria Da Fortunata. Day two was packed with ancient ruins—Colosseum, Roman Forum, and Palatine Hill—followed by a magical evening at the Trevi Fountain, gelato in hand, dinner at Roma Sparita (that cacio e pepe!), and cannolis to end the night. Italy, you’re off to a strong start!

Adam and Lincoln headed to warmer weather with our Beehive Meals team as they spent this last weekend at the St. George Pinners. After a successful event and the team heading home, we decided to extend our place in St. George for a quick family getaway. This time of year in Utah can be so dreary and my mind and body needed some sun! I packed up the rest of our little family and drove down to meet them for a quick two night stay. We soaked up the best of Desert Color—playing on the beach, renting a duck-shaped paddle boat, grabbing Pinkbox Donuts, exploring the children’s museum, and just resting. A short trip, but so needed and so grateful for the time together. ❤️
