This vs that.
Registered Nurse
112 hours worked that month
$4,144 earned
Remote Closing
30 hours worked that month
$7,000 in commissions
These are my real stats from two different chapters of my life.
As a nurse I was working around 28 hours every single week. Shift work. Weekends. Nights. The whole thing.
In remote closing that month I worked 30 hours total.
That’s just over 7 hours for the whole week.
And I earned more.
This isn’t about bashing nursing. I’m incredibly proud of that chapter.
But it did make me question something…
Why was I working 4x the hours for less money?
Remote sales opened a completely different world for me.
One where your income is tied to skill, not your roster.
Your next chapter requires new characters❤️‍🔥
The people who help you change your life usually aren’t your friends or family.
They’re strangers who believe in a version of you that hasn’t shown up yet✨
Non- Verbal Communication and why this work matters so much in sales🤔
Non-verbal communication is everything that happens without words:
facial expressions
hand gestures
Eye contact
posture
tone and pace
And here’s the part that changes how you sell.
When someone’s words and body language don’t match, the brain almost always trusts the body first.
That doesn’t mean people are lying
it means they’re human
On sales calls, we’re often talking about things that feel vulnerable....money, self-belief, timing, fear, responsibility, change.
So the body leaks information before the words catch up.
Great closers don’t use this to push harder.
They use it to slow down and ask better questions.
This work isn’t about reading minds or spotting “tells”.
It’s about becoming more perceptive, more regulated, and more present on your calls.
And once you start seeing it....you can’t unsee it👀
She’s come along way🤍
Sometimes you need to look back… not to stay there, but to remember how far you’ve come.
This was me learning remote sales with a baby on my hip, figuring it out one call at a time, not knowing exactly how it would all work.
Fast forward to now: speaking at live events, coaching women every day, being a part of building something bigger than I ever imagined.
Did it take longer than I thought it would at the beginning?
Yes.
Did that ever change the goal or kill the drive to get there?
Never.
If you’re in a season where progress feels slow, let this be your reminder…..momentum isn’t always loud. Growth isn’t always obvious. And just because it’s taking time doesn’t mean it’s not working.
Reflect. Be proud. Keep going.
You’re closer than you think 💫
