Ready to tackle the actors life in 2026!
Do you wander around unfamiliar cities alone but feel completely safe?
When you travel frequently, it feels like second nature to get out and explore on your own. As Cabin Crew, you’d often find yourself wandering the streets of a city you’ve never been to and soaking it all in. But should we be more wary?
In today’s episode of The Red Eye podcast, we hear what happened to one crew member when he went out on the streets of Manila searching for a good time, but nearly lost his life.

Sometimes something happens on board the plane that you’re absolutely not trained for, and yet you’re the only person who’s there to deal with it!
This week on The Red Eye podcast we hear a story from Ally’s time in the air, when she had to deal with 2 different events that she was absolutely not trained to deal with! But the type of person who works as cabin crew, is normally the type of person who likes to help whoever is in need, and it’s hard to walk away, no matter what! If you like real stories, turned in half hour fictional style audiobooks, then listen wherever you get your podcasts.

I love shows like The Office and The Paper, and their writing, ultra realistic style of acting and talking heads. So thought I’d give it a go as a bit of actor practice with this monologue from Laughing Wild by Christopher Durang. Originally the male character’s monologue and I switched up the scenario to suit what I was trying to achieve. I’ve seen requests by a couple of casting directors for self tapes in this style in the past and hoping to one day book a role like this!
This is just for practice, not for a real self tape!
Are you Jurassic Crew? What are the benefits of showing your loyalty for one airline? 20 years of flying around the world and smiling at passengers can take a toll on you!
The senior mama in today The Red Eye episode thought she was totally safe at the top of the standby list, she’d got a guarantee from the captain that she’d have the jump seat. But the flight left with empty seats and no standby passengers…

A 6 year old unaccompanied minor gets stranded in Mallorca with the crew. That’s today’s true story on The Red Eye
A 5 year old can fly alone on a plane… isn’t that crazy?! But it happens! People need to put their kid on a plane to meet family in other countries so off they toddle clutching a teddy and hope.
But what happens when that plane diverts and all the passengers and crew have to disembark and go stay in a hotel?
It’s down to the Cabin Crew to take care of that child as if it’s their own!
Have you ever had to look after a child that’s not your own overnight?!
