the last month i’ve gotten to keep this little secret to ourselves.
i’ve been able to sit and soak in all the love that austin has poured in to this project and the love he continuously pours in to our relationship and in to me before sharing it with you all.
i get to marry my bestfriend. our story is an example of what it looks like to not give up on someone, of what unconditional love is, and what continuing to choose someone looks like. our story hasn’t always been pretty, sometimes it’s been messy and disheveled.
we both grew up in homes where we didn’t see the best examples of love, or any at all for that matter. environments where it felt more comfortable allowing our mental health struggle to get the best of us vs facing it head on.
i hope this project helps someone understand that their vulnerability doesn’t make them weak, and that breaking the generational cycle isn’t always easy, but boy does it feel good when you do.
thank you @austinsnellmusic for colors, baby. i pray that the world is always kind to you, and us. let’s get married!!!!💌
‘25 the year of being reminded of my own strength, and very many weaknesses.
i’ve learned how much weight i can stand with on my shoulders until i break. i’ve learned that snakes and angels come in many forms, and that a smile can cover a mountain of emotions. i’ve learned that the closer i get to god, the louder the devil gets.
and to ‘26, there were times i truly didn’t think id make it, but here we are. so, i welcome you with open arms.
