My octogenarian sister (she’s older but I’m wiser), Eliza glowing in the sun, a welcomed visit from Mr Beetle, my diary (secrets redacted), Wednesday steak night, and the rest of my lovely life of late.
Thinking in black and white is never a good thing, you lovely people. <3
Featuring: Magical Madi, my bedside table, yours truly (looking rather unimpressed I must say), princess Monks, the Carlton Garden ducks, and flowers that Bella gifted me (which are surprisingly still alive !); they’re a symbol of undying love, unyielding strength, and the mystic forces of nature.
Bits and bobs of late: Yours truly captured homeward-bound, pre-gig pic of Mr Moustache Monks, Bella’s beautiful cat (who loves me very much), and brilliant Bee (with one of the best birthday gifts I’ve ever received).
Before going into the Vivienne Westwood exhibition, taken by my very talented sister: Celebrating the end of my teen years with a soulmate, the first one to show me those exist.
I wrote my first play and people saw it being read aloud on this very night.
Thank you so much to @queenamarantha , my wonderful mentor throughout this process, and the incredible @dels.evo who made this all happen.
I think the best thing you can do for yourself in life is find meaning through the creation and completion of things. For me that manifests mostly through the compulsion to write. This piece gave me that and inspires me to continue creating. Go make things people !!
Freedom found: the inner world of my bag on the way to a shoot, the beguiling Bee, Snowy the cat, ratatouille (one of the only edible meals I can make), a beautiful skirt by Annie Berry from the aforementioned shoot (that I wish I could keep, life is not fair), and a healthy dose of hip action. To be on your own can really be a gift, a valuable freedom, to just let yourself be.
