📣 Calling all Disability Campaigners working in the outdoors! Join us on Monday 8th June for our upcoming social, hosted by Anisah Barber and Isabela Avalos , where we will be discussing what it means to “bring the outdoors in”. Together, we’ll be discussing the different ways we can connect with the outdoors more gently when getting outside feels difficult - whether that be due to flare-ups, being bed bound, mental health challenges or other barriers. We will reflect on questions such as: 🌿 How can we experience the benefits of the outdoors from home? 🌿 Can creative practise like art, film, reading or mindfulness help us feel connected to nature? 🌿 Can listening to birdsong, revisiting favourite outdoor places in our minds, or noticing the nature that exists closer to home, help us to feel more connected? There will also be space for open conversations and reflections. 🌟 This social is for anyone who identifies as disabled or chronically ill, or if you're working on disability inclusion. This includes (but is not limited to): physical, sensory, neurological, medical, psychological, visible & invisible disabilities. If you’re looking to meet others working on access and inclusion in the UK outdoors we’d love to have you join us. It's free to join, but you do need to register in advance through our website: https://www.alltheelements.co/events/ate-online-disability-campaigners-social-june-8 #DiversifyOutdoorsUK

Meet last year’s komoot x All The Elements Community Fund Recipients. Meet Trekkers UK Trekkers UK is a grassroots community organisation dedicated to improving the mental, physical, and social wellbeing of Black and global majority adults aged 25-50, through nature connection and outdoor adventure. Serving inner-city communities in the West and East Midlands, Trekkers UK creates safe, inclusive spaces, offering a range of activities from hikes and wellbeing walks to restorative retreats. They applied to use the fund on trips to the Peak District and other green spaces, essential outdoor gear, and first aid training for volunteers. Meet Queer Out Here Queer Out Here organises day excursions and holidays for queer people. They create queer-only spaces for people to meet new friends and share experiences together. Since starting in 2020, they have hosted over 40 events, helping many people discover the outdoors. They applied to use the grant to support hikes for their trans and non-binary community, for resources, running costs, and travel bursaries. Ailish, founder of Queer Out Here has shared: “There’s so much that goes into running a grassroots community group behind the scenes to allow our members to be able to access regular, high-quality free events. The Community Fund made that much easier to achieve this year and I’m really grateful for that” We’re excited that the komoot x All The Elements Community Fund is back and that this year, there are 5 pots of funding available! There are only two weeks left to apply - Application deadline: Monday 25th May. Find full details on the All The Elements website - linked in bio @komoot @trekkersuk @queerouthereadventures #DiversifyOutdoorsUK

Thank you also to the fantastic team at YHA Ilam Hall for looking after us over the weekend and to all those who supported the event and made it happen! 📸 Photos taken by the incredible Celie Nigoumi @celie.nigoumi 🌱 The Outdoor Connection is run in partnership between All The Elements and YHA Outdoor Citizens - the 2026 event was supported by YHA, Sport England and Natural England. @yhaofficial @naturalengland @officialsportengland #OutdoorCitizens #TheOutdoorConnection #DiversifyOutdoorsUK

🌱 The komoot x All The Elements community fund is back! Following on from our 2025 partnership, this year we are excited to be offering five £1000 pots of funding, designed to support your community to access the outdoors. There is no restriction on what you can apply for, but it must enable your community to access the outdoors through hiking, running or cycling. For example, you could apply to cover the cost of mini bus hire, to create an outdoor kit library for your community or to access training, such as a Mountain Leader qualification, for one of your community members… or much more. To find out more and apply, head over to the All The Elements website (linked in bio). Application deadline: Monday 25th May. @komoot #DiversifyOutdoorsUK

🌱 We are delighted to have on-going support from the Esmée Fairbairn Foundation as we enter our second year of multi-year funding and the third year supported by their grants. In a societal and funding landscape that we know is tricky for many nonprofits, we are grateful for the continued support and the opportunity to continue to support the ATE community. We do not take this for granted and continue to explore all the ways we can best provide value to everyone working on diversity in the UK outdoors.💚 #DiversifyOutdoorsUK
