On Sunday, May 10, Tim Rich preaches at 7:30 and 10:00 a.m. At 10:00 a.m., Coventry Choir offers My Shepherd Is the Living God by Thompson. ASL interpretation is on hiatus this week, and will resume on May 10 at 10:00 a.m. Faith & Formation - Mother’s Day Proclamation: Preaching Peace in a Time of War 9:00 in the Guild Room or Online. Susan Russell will explore how knowing the history of Mother’s Day can equip us to meet the challenges of the moment. We will revisit the original inspiration behind Mother’s Day — the Mother’s Day Proclamation powerfully articulated by Julia Ward Howe in the aftermath of the American Civil War — and how it still speaks with urgency in 2026, calling us to resist the normalization of violence and to claim our moral agency in shaping a more compassionate world. Howe’s vision of mothers united across borders, refusing to allow their children to be sacrificed to war, resonates in this moment marked by ongoing conflict, political polarization, and global instability. Her proclamation challenges us not only to honor motherhood sentimentally, but to embrace its prophetic dimension: a fierce commitment to peace, justice, and the protection of human dignity. If you can't join us in-person, you can live-stream the 9:00 a.m. presentation & 10:00 a.m. service at /livestream/. - Godly Play/Children's Chapel for Kindergarten through 5th graders during the 10 a.m. service. - Sunday Morning Childcare for Infants and Toddlers every Sunday from 9:00 a.m.–12:00 p.m. in the Learning Center in Regas House.
