Week 3 in All Points Cake has been a cracker! And the competition is brewing... this weekend saw the longest rides, the rides with most cafe stops, (5 btw!!) the most people crammed in one cafe all in some serious headwinds and minus figures.

APC 2025 Week 1 scores are in and it's good to see a few of us managed to get out the door in spite of the frosty conditions.
Bonus points aplenty this week for some creative wintersport alternatives to riding (and for visiting the organiser for sledging cake fun)

First day of #AllPointsCake and Tom joined me on frosty ride to check out a few cafes that i hadn't visited before. Icy toes and noses called for regular warming stops and the new controls do NOT DISAPPOINT!!
Recommend arriving hungry @thecakekitchen41 in Uppermill - everything looked absolutely delicious! And @coffeeatmine was a great little find closer to home.
Extra stop at the Old Mill farm shop in Mottram (not a control but might have to be added... They have goats, alpacas, cuddly cats AND cake. Nuff said.)

It's that time of year again - when we set ourselves goals and challenges and find new ways to encourage each other to leave the sofa, so this is a cake-based cycling challenge with a difference! The more cafe stops you include on your ride the more points you get. And ALL YOUR POINTS FOR THE RIDE ARE MULTIPLIED BY THE NUMBER OF RIDERS. So you'll soon find that social and easy beats speedy race tactics...
I've run this event with a small group of friends for the last 2 years and now we're opening it up to anyone who wants to get involved. All the controls (cafes) are in the Peak District but you're welcome to do your own local version!
Between now and the end of Feb why not get some friends together and get out to one or lots of these fab cafes, grab a coffee or some cake, take a pic and tag us @AllPointsCake in your posts and we'll include you on the weekly scoreboard 😊
You might make get some beautiful winter riding in, discover some new cake stops and even make some new friends.
