We said goodbye to All Japan Day⦠but weāre not quite done just yet.
Weāre back one more time this September with something a little different, ALL DOG DAY.
Why? Because we love dogs way too much not to run a show about them, and honestly, why not let the cars come too.
Weāre turning Wigley Reserve into a one of a kind setup, with cars parked in a circle to create a safe space in the middle for all the good boys and girls to hang out.
Hereās the deal:
⢠Any classic, performance, or unique car is welcome
⢠BUT you must bring a dog to enter
⢠All dogs must be on leads at all times
No matter the breed, no matter the car, everyoneās welcome.

Part 2 of 2: Hannah was in charge of Trade Stands and Food Vendors this year, and itās worth noting that she was so dedicated to our committee that she has been still performing her role remotely whilst living in Melbourne, flying back for every event. What a star!
Jack is the design guru behind all the amazing event artwork for previous years (now immortalised as stickers), as well as taking the amazing photos you see attached to this post. Given how busy you are these days, Jack, we are very grateful for your contribution to our crew over the years.
And a special thanks to my darling wife Emma, who somehow managed to get the merch sorted, the merch tents set up for All Japan Day, Iron Chef Imports and Gomanen Challenge, and then scan in all the cars on Wigley. This was while managing her own businesses and keeping her husband from going insane in the last couple of weeks leading up to the event with all the last minute challenges!
There were a dozen or so volunteers who helped out on the day, scanning entries, parking cars, controlling traffic, manning the merch stand (which was genuinely flat out all day) and much much more. I wonāt attempt to name you all, but your contributions were very much appreciated and we love you all for being crazy enough to get up at sparrowās fart on a Sunday morning to help for free.
One of our volunteers was helping for the first time this year, and had no previous experience with the car community in Adelaide. Her comment as she left was āI was expecting them to be really snobby, but everyone was super friendly and wanted to chat!ā. If thereās one thing I think we can all be proud of, itās that All Japan Day has always captured the very best parts of our community: we have a shared passion for cars that goes beyond gender, race, background or age, and we go out of our way to include others in this passion, and to reunite with old friends once a year and talk car shit all day.
In the modern world, such moments are, sadly, becoming a rarity, and so we hope All Japan Day has created some wonderful memories for you to reminisce over in coming years.
Part 1 of 2: [Kristian] The fact that it has taken us 3 days to put together an event write-up should tell you all how stuffed the committee members were after the final AJD!
Firstly, the crowd numbers were absolutely insane this year. It was so busy at 9am that we genuinely had troubles getting the last couple of hundred cars parked with all the spectators around. And Colley was just as packed as Wigley was! Based on previous years, our estimate was 20,000 visitors throughout the day. RIP to anyone trying to get a park anywhere nearby! A huge thank you to all for making the effort to join us for our final event.
To the entrants, a massive thanks for your patience and for your commitment to AJD over the years. The selection process was particularly difficult this year, with over 1000 applications for the 700 spots we had available. A special shout out to those who didnāt get accepted who took it gracefully and still came down on the day. Iām sure you will agree the standard of cars there this year was nuts, and there were plenty of āIāve never seen one of those in the metal beforeā type cars too, which is what we loved seeing as a committee. Your driving behaviour leaving was exemplary, as was that of the crowds lined up along Anzac Highway to watch.
In recent years our team has been ably led by Kat, who has put in an enormous amount of work, particularly at an admin level, co-ordinating the council, SAPOL, Dept of Transport, insurance, committee members, volunteers etc etc. Itās a completely thankless task, and her efforts over the years for the SA car community should be celebrated and appreciated. Hopefully your phone bills will start to return to normal in coming months!
Bill El is another 2008 OG who took a break in the middle, only to return with a vengeance and take on the role of social media coordinator. Bill specialises in posts that are a little more edgy than I can create, and heās successfully managed to offend pretty much every car owner in SA over the years, and has zero regrets for doing so. Thanks, my brother, for rekindling the social media fires and creating many funny moments along the way. Many of your sayings will live on forever.
MEDIA CALL OUT
Alright photographers⦠we see you.

LAST CHANCE TO GET MERCH TOMORROW - ONCE IT'S GONE, IT'S GONE. FIRST IN, FIRST SERVED.
Women's tees, we have plenty in both black and white, so we have reduced them to just $15, so grab a bargain!
If you have kids, we are doing tees at just $10, sizes 6-12 in black only.
We have VERY LIMITED stock in hoodies and men's tees, so get in quick if you want something.
We only have 8 caps left!
See you tomorrow - if you're lucky we might do you some clearance deals at the end of the day if they're not sold out.
"Last but not least, I'd like to thank me..."
I get to write my own sponsor blurb at the last minute, because like the rest of the committee, we have literally had zero time for about the last month leading up to the event.
When AJD began I had barely gone full time with ICI, so it's amazing to see how far both have come over the years. ICI tipped in a lot of money and man hours in the early years to keep All Japan Day going, and I'm both proud of what we've achieved as a team, and I'll be sad to see the end of this chapter tomorrow.
Not all of you will be searching for a car from Japan, but if you decide to, please consider spending your money locally and supporting us. We'd appreciate it! If you're not in the market for car just yet, still come and see us at our tent, buy some merch, or just talk car crap with Brendan. He loves it.
Important Info for Entrants & Spectators!
The Finale is here ā 18 years in the making ā and tomorrow we bring it home together.
ENTRANTS ā Hereās what you need to know:
When you arrive at Glenelg, have your QR Code and Entrant Information Sheet ready to present at the gate.
Please do not give your ticket to friends if youāre unable to attend. Our system displays your number plate on entry, and if the rego doesnāt match, you will be asked to leave. We know many people missed out and are eager to attend, so thank you for respecting this.
Arrive before 10am to ensure a smooth checkāin and get your car parked. Want to park with friends? Arrive together. Gates close 10am sharp.
Trailers must arrive at 7am to avoid chaos. After unloading, please park offāsite ā you can exit via the back Buffalo car park.
Print & fill out your Vehicle Information Sheet with details about your car and what makes it special, then display it on your windscreen. This sheet is mandatory ā no sheet, no entry.
As agreed during your application, vehicles must remain in place until 3pm. This keeps the event safe and running smoothly for everyone.
SPECTATORS ā Hereās the scoop:
Entry is free, but a gold coin donation to Ruby Tuesday (who will be there on the day) is always appreciated.
The show runs 10amā3pm, with cars locked in, food sizzling, and trade stands open.
IMPORTANT INFO
Swing by the merch tent for All Japan Day keyrings, hoodies, tāshirts, and hats.
And please ā bring a hat and sunscreen unless youāre aiming for the classic All Japan Day lobster look.
Weāre beyond excited to see our community come together one last time. Rain might be on the forecast, but after 18 years, weāve weathered everything and this will still be our biggest farewell ever.
If you are wanting to share a drink with some of the AJD crew, we will be at the Watermark Hotel for dinner tonight.
If not see you tomorrow for an unforgettable Final All Japan Day.
Giving some love to the beast in preparation for @alljapanday 22nd Feb THE FINALE šŖ Lucky to be accepted! Even though it's set to rain... @bowdensown has me covered with their awesome products to ensure my pride and joy is kept in tip top condition! (And plenty of bead porn!)

Our A1 since Day 1 ā¤
Jeff and the team at @shannonsinsurance took a punt on supporting AJD at our first event back in 2008, back before the idea of doing trade stands and other bits and pieces had even been considered.
But they have been alongside us on our journey the whole way, and we are very grateful for their support, as the event probably would never have made it this far without them!
You can control how YOU drive, but you can't assume that NPCs use the same common sense on the road. Come and see the team at the Shannon's tent and see what they can do to soften the blow if the unthinkable were to happen.
We would like to express our heartfelt appreciation for the team at Altus Traffic who have once again generously provided their resources to manage traffic for All Japan Day 2026.
Altus Traffic is Australiaās largest provider of professional traffic control services, specialising in expert traffic management and compliance so their clients can focus on project delivery. Their mission is simple but powerful, to make roads safer and support the industries and communities that rely on them, because everyone deserves to get home to their loved ones safely, every day.
This year was no small task.
With extensive roadworks and road closures across Glenelg, planning for AJD became even more complex. The Altus team were instrumental behind the scenes, helping us refine our road plans, working through compliance requirements, and advocating to ensure traffic conditions were optimised for our event. That even included successfully assisting in having buses relocated away from the main car parking area outside the grounds to improve access and flow.
Their professionalism and proactive support genuinely made a difference.
By providing their services and expertise, Altus Traffic have helped us reduce costs and in turn increase our donation to our chosen charity for 2026, the Ruby Tuesday Foundation.
Please make sure you thank the Altus team when you see them at AJD. And if your business ever requires traffic management, we highly recommend reaching out to them.
We could not do this without partners like you.
