The Construct + The Child, 2025       𝘎𝘳𝘢𝘱𝘩𝘪𝘵𝘦, 𝘨𝘰𝘶𝘢𝘤𝘩𝘦, 𝘱𝘢𝘴𝘵𝘦𝘭𝘴 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘢𝘤𝘳𝘺𝘭𝘪𝘤 𝘰𝘯 𝘈𝘳𝘤𝘩𝘦𝘴 𝘱𝘶𝘳𝘦 𝘤𝘰𝘵𝘵𝘰𝘯 𝘱𝘢𝘱𝘦𝘳.       The Construct + The Child explores the way in which our inner-child deals with the inherent constructs of success that we build over the period of “adulthood”, and how the complexities of dealing with such ideas might look and feel to them.       The horse represents hard work and determination. The rock represents the burden of an assigned task. Red thread represents abundance and fate, and the void represents the inevitable uncertainties of life.      All that to say—are we truly aware of what we are doing, and why?       —      It was an honour to showcase work alongside 34 friends and senpais alike, in the ‘Lines of Influence’ Exhibition during Singapore Design Week this year, and to have experienced such a wholesome opening night.       Curated by @kiat_sg@kiat_studio (Thank you)      “Presented by @artoutreachsingapore , ‘Lines of Influence’ also marks the launch of the JYP Creative Legacy Fund, established in memory of designer Jun Yang Pow, whose final wish was to support young creatives.”      “More than a tribute, ‘Lines of Influence’ is a statement of belief in design as a communal act. It affirms that a thriving creative ecosystem depends not only on talent but on the willingness to uplift and support one another.”       Although the show has come to an end, a percentage of proceeds from the sale of this work will still go to the fund.     —    Images provided by @artoutreachsingapore #sdw2025 #nationbydesign

Emma + Bun Bun, 2025      𝘗𝘳𝘪𝘷𝘢𝘵𝘦 𝘤𝘰𝘮𝘮𝘪𝘴𝘴𝘪𝘰𝘯  (𝘉𝘳𝘪𝘦𝘧 : 𝘪𝘯𝘤𝘰𝘳𝘱𝘰𝘳𝘢𝘵𝘦 𝘌𝘮𝘮𝘢'𝘴 𝘤𝘩𝘰𝘶 𝘤𝘩𝘰𝘶 𝘢𝘬𝘢 𝘤𝘰𝘮𝘧𝘰𝘳𝘵 𝘰𝘣𝘫𝘦𝘤𝘵)    𝘎𝘳𝘢𝘱𝘩𝘪𝘵𝘦, 𝘨𝘰𝘶𝘢𝘤𝘩𝘦 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘢𝘤𝘳𝘺𝘭𝘪𝘤 𝘰𝘯 𝘢𝘳𝘤𝘩𝘦𝘴 𝘱𝘢𝘱𝘦𝘳.      A portrait of little Emma and her best pal, Bun Bun.       In reality, Bun Bun's colours and flowers have mostly disappeared — I left his right ear worn down for secret reasons only known to Emma and Bun Bun.    Nothing can replace our first comfort objects.     May we never forget everything they've done for us.       Thank you @berniceelianalee for this wonderful opportunity. 💕      _   #rabbithole #bestfriends

Midnight Harvest • Pink Lady, 2024    𝘎𝘳𝘢𝘱𝘩𝘪𝘵𝘦, 𝘨𝘰𝘶𝘢𝘤𝘩𝘦 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘱𝘢𝘴𝘵𝘦𝘭𝘴 𝘰𝘯 𝘈𝘳𝘤𝘩𝘦𝘴 𝘱𝘢𝘱𝘦𝘳.       This drawing from ‘Midnight Harvest’ isn’t based on anything.  I started drawing and here we are.      It reminds me of Pink Lady apples, which I first discovered while I was studying in Sydney, a very long time ago. -   This new and growing body of small drawings began in 2023, during a residency in Tasmania.        While I was there, I made single-line drawings of some furniture around the residence, and implemented small blind elements (where I close my eyes) as a way of completely letting go of over 10 years of meticulously planning my work before I start a drawing.         As a result, some “conscious” objects have been materialising.          #pinklady

Heidi + Hugo, 2025        𝘗𝘳𝘪𝘷𝘢𝘵𝘦 𝘤𝘰𝘮𝘮𝘪𝘴𝘴𝘪𝘰𝘯            (𝘉𝘳𝘪𝘦𝘧 : 𝘪𝘯𝘤𝘰𝘳𝘱𝘰𝘳𝘢𝘵𝘦 𝘤𝘩𝘰𝘶 𝘤𝘩𝘰𝘶𝘴 𝘢𝘬𝘢 𝘤𝘰𝘮𝘧𝘰𝘳𝘵 𝘰𝘣𝘫𝘦𝘤𝘵𝘴, 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘢 𝘉𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘬 𝘮𝘰𝘵𝘪𝘧)         𝘎𝘳𝘢𝘱𝘩𝘪𝘵𝘦, 𝘨𝘰𝘶𝘢𝘤𝘩𝘦, 𝘱𝘢𝘴𝘵𝘦𝘭 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘢𝘤𝘳𝘺𝘭𝘪𝘤 𝘰𝘯 𝘈𝘳𝘤𝘩𝘦𝘴 𝘱𝘢𝘱𝘦𝘳.                 The elephant spring rocker is used as an anchor in this piece, and is a symbol taken from a photo captured by Heidi and Hugo’s parents during a period of time where they had grown much closer.      The objective was to capture the essence of their relationship, while bringing their personalities to light, and tying it all together with the use of a Batik inspired motif, which the family loves and wears on special occasions.      The spring rocker symbolises the importance of play in companionship, and a huge ball of red thread symbolises the abundance that flows from a nurtured relationship, leading into the unknowable future and always having each other to lean on.       Thank you so much @darylandrewong and @xiwenchia for this amazing opportunity! ♡ —     #elephant #kids #family

The Time it Takes, 2024        𝘗𝘳𝘪𝘷𝘢𝘵𝘦 𝘤𝘰𝘮𝘮𝘪𝘴𝘴𝘪𝘰𝘯           (𝘉𝘳𝘪𝘦𝘧 : 𝘪𝘯𝘤𝘰𝘳𝘱𝘰𝘳𝘢𝘵𝘦 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘮𝘰𝘯𝘬𝘦𝘺 𝘻𝘰𝘥𝘪𝘢𝘤 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘵𝘸𝘰 𝘮𝘰𝘯𝘬𝘦𝘺 𝘤𝘩𝘰𝘶 𝘤𝘩𝘰𝘶𝘴 𝘢𝘬𝘢 𝘤𝘰𝘮𝘧𝘰𝘳𝘵 𝘰𝘣𝘫𝘦𝘤𝘵𝘴)               𝘎𝘳𝘢𝘱𝘩𝘪𝘵𝘦, 𝘨𝘰𝘶𝘢𝘤𝘩𝘦, 𝘱𝘢𝘴𝘵𝘦𝘭 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘢𝘤𝘳𝘺𝘭𝘪𝘤 𝘰𝘯 𝘈𝘳𝘤𝘩𝘦𝘴 𝘱𝘢𝘱𝘦𝘳.               The Monkey in the zodiac is known for its cleverness and quick-wit, among other traits.        Here, the Monkey is portrayed as a teapot - a reminder that cleverness and wit are not enough in making a good decision. We also need some wisdom, and this takes time.       The Teapot is symbolic of protection from harm, and patience in the way that tea needs time to steep.       The Teapot is embellished with smoke and leaves to represent the mercurial nature of growth through contemplation, and the apricot branch symbolises academic success, and is a way of bringing blessings of “fruit” to the labour of patience in all of Bradley’s endeavours.         The red ball of thread represents abundance and best wishes for the future, and Chou Chou and Gai Gai (the little monkeys) who are Bradley’s dearest childhood toys, are included in his journey.       Thank you so much @kohpohchoo for this opportunity!    —    #zodiac #monkey #growing

MELONCHOLY, 2025    Part of ‘Midnight Harvest’ (acquired)   𝘎𝘳𝘢𝘱𝘩𝘪𝘵𝘦, 𝘨𝘰𝘶𝘢𝘤𝘩𝘦 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘱𝘢𝘴𝘵𝘦𝘭 𝘰𝘯 𝘢𝘳𝘤𝘩𝘦𝘴 𝘱𝘢𝘱𝘦𝘳.     There is a little plastic melon in our home. It used to hold ice cream.     Now it sits on top of an air fryer, steadfast in its newfound mission of mere existence.     Everyday it sits still and empty as ever, next to a bowl of real fruit.     #melon
