Working with @maeghanspurrphoto is a dream for me because she loves to visualize little branded worlds of cohesive creative elements! And that’s not just for her brand, but for every experience she offers through MSP including her incredible Mother’s Day Minis. Last week was my 14th business anniversary and 39th birthday! If I’ve never told you the story, I set a goal to launch my first website before my 25th birthday. In at the buzzer, I sat at Kiskadee coffee on March 5th and shared on social media that I was now a calligrapher and graphic designer. A lot has evolved over the years; my skills and style, my schedule and workspace, my mentality around creativity, as well as the services I offer. I’m going into my 15th year of Allison Kathleen so inspired, grateful, and sure that this is going to be an incredible year for my business. So we celebrated!
One of my favorite details from our Winter Blues tablescape was the one that came together last minute... mirror placecards! We were brainstorming something unique but equally lovely as the antique plate stack paired with the blue floral linen. What do we do in the Winter but reflect?!... perfect! And these little mirrors were the exact size as the smallest plate. OBSESSED!
I love March! It's always a transformative month for me, some years more so than others. But it's my birthday and my business anniversary this week. Spring is so close I can taste it, even through the snow. All my seeds orders are in for the flower farm this season. I'm making some major shifts in my client workload. I'm teaching 2 calligraphy classes and going on vacation this month. I have so much to be grateful for.
