“idk” the EP is officially yours <3 so much i could say about these songs but i think they speak well for themselves. i wrote them all in a season of deep grief and loss. i have just discovered that the grieving process is a whole color palette of experiences and i hope that is reflected well in this project. after again listening back, the one consistent truth that i notice threads through each song is how truly relentless the Lord’s choice to love us is. the Lord held up my faith in Him when i had nothing to give. no wonder Paul in Ephesians 2 says that we have nothing to boast about.
i am continually moved and undone by the way these songs have met so many of you in your messy walks with the Lord. i hope they hug you and tend to you as you embrace the Father’s love in your mess more and more.
incredible people helped brought these songs to life. you know who you are and i am so damn grateful for y’all.
tour starts in two weeks ahh tickets in bio <3

i’m so grateful to finally announce that “idk” the full EP comes out Feb 13. this project means a lot to my heart, and the songs thread together a very hard two years of blended grief, shame, and walking with a very patient Jesus. however, the past few weeks i have felt stuck at a crossroad…
Minneapolis is my home city and both recent sh00tings and !CE brutality have all occurred just miles from my house. i personally know many immigrant and refugee families- amazing humans, some are dear friends- affected by this all. my heart feels broken and frustrated- how can i just coast through promoting a new record when people are being dehumanized in my own “backyard”? what if mentioning this causes people to peg me to one side politically and i lose fans? who is the Lord to someone if their life ends in suffering? why do i feel so emotional and helpless all at once?
idk.
but “idk” might be the safest place i can be.. because i know the One who knows it all.
that’s all. my hope is that this EP becomes a comfort to you when there is no answer, no seeming solution, and you’re just in the thick of hell. the heart of Jesus resides with the broken, the oppressed, and the marginalized. at this point, i’d rather know His heart than have an answer.
thanks for reading & for listening to my music at all. may you know Jesus more deeply and intimately in the mess.
