Each year after Children's Art Walk, Allied Arts temporarily closes our doors to clean, sort overflow donations, and reorganize our facility. You might still see us inside if you walk by, but the gallery and thrift store will not be open, and we won't be taking any donations during this time. We appreciate your patience and we look forward to seeing you all in June!
We had some great conversations last night at our community round table, thank you to everyone who took the time to come talk with us and dream up a better future for local arts!
Our second session is tomorrow (May 14th) at 6pm, and there are still open seats if you haven't RSVP'd yet. Link in our bio.

We are listening.
Allied Arts of Whatcom County is hosting two small, facilitated community conversations at Hotel Leo to better understand what the arts community needs now and in the future.
We are inviting artists, educators, nonprofit leaders, business owners, and community members to help shape the direction of Allied Arts as we update our strategic plan.
These conversations are designed to bring a range of perspectives into the room and strengthen the role the arts play across Whatcom County.

Artist Feature: Barrett Lizza
At Allied Arts we are committed to uplifting artists and celebrating their stories. A few weeks ago we stopped by Barrett Lizza’s studio/shop for a tour and short interview. During our chat, Barrett shared a bit about his inspirations and how he survives as an artist.
If you are interested in seeing Barrett's work for yourself, you can stop by Allied Arts and see his work featured in our Recycled Art and Resource Expo this April or visit his shop in Fairhaven.
