And just like that it's a wrap 😭. I started this masters during the hardest times of my life I had just came out to my parents, was struggling financially and drowning in dysphoria. Today I am living my life as the woman I've always dreamt to be, grateful to experience this life. What I thought was impossible became true. My thesis focuses on a group of HIV+ individuals that can naturally fight off infection without the need for drugs. In other words them girls were literally undetectable didn't know they even had HIV and were living normal lives. Specifically I looked at markers in their natural killer cells that could explain why they're able to control HIV in order to understand how we can utilise immunotherapy to the general public to achieve a cure. To every person living with HIV today I love you, you matter and we will fight off HIV including its stigma. I dedicate this thesis to every trans girl in the world. If I could walk into the hospital a few years ago looking as clocky as I did, own who I am flourish into my beautiful self and finish this project you can do anything in the world ❤️. We are beautiful we matter and we belong everywhere we pour our heart into.
