I’m sorry to disappoint but my motivation to make art isn’t to shed light on any social issues or to help my family retire faster or put any city/town on the map. I don’t pay attention to the news, my parents are well off, my city got recognised long ago. I make art because it’s the only way I know to express myself properly. I’m misunderstood when using any other form of expression. The ones who’ve spent even an hour with me very clearly understand how many analogies, metaphors, rhymes, alliterations, assonances, onomatopoeias, imageries, apostrophes and other poetic devices I use while trying to say something. None of it is ever given importance to and I always end up not being taken seriously. Writing a song or a bit or a letter or an article or a piece has always led me to be the best in the room. This is the only way I can be relevant and the need to belong is the only common thing between human beings. There you go, that’s why I make music and love it over everything else.
