Don’t snooze on your stylist 💤 Considered styling is the difference between an ok shot and a shot with impact. Styling is something I take true joy in working on (either solo or with the experts; there’s a reason it’s someone’s full time job!) With a degree in fashion, I’ve always used my personal eye for styling as a form of creative expression. There really is no better feeling than a shot coming together with the location, props, composition *and* styling for those hero shots 🤌
👁️ AI: Making dreams a reality?
AI has become a point of contention amongst creatives, (and consumers) but it really does expand the horizons of what you can create. As someone who has BIG ideas, it’s allowed me to really tell another facet of brand stories when priorities might not allow for more conceptual shoots. I use social media as a springboard for creative thinking, so personally love seeing the weird and wonderful universes creators are building 🪐
Daring to be different takes bravery, but it’s worth it. Every time I pull a mood board together it’s easy to get stuck in the generic content rut, especially with hotels. Breakfast in bed, do not disturb signs…😴 I want to create content that makes people look twice, maybe it’s a little bit weird, maybe you need to read the caption to understand what’s happening - but that’s the point. How do you spare people from the mindless scroll? With content that they don’t feel like they’ve seen before - forever trying to reduce the deja vu of social media content 👁️
Influencers will ✨always✨ be part of my strategy when it comes to hotels. There are so many stories to tell and so many different perspectives to tell them from, letting creators get creative in your spaces will give you a much stronger content strategy than forever trying to tell every story yourself. These are all shots I wouldn’t have thought to capture in a brand shoot, yet look how beautiful, interesting and unique each one feels - no notes 🤌
Hello 👋🏼 usually behind the lens, I’m occasionally captured on the other side 📸 my favourite days are shoot days, working with other creatives who always listen to my crazy concepts and get the ideas from my brain onto your feeds while you’re scrolling 🧠 ➡️🌍
More exciting things to come in 2025… 🔮
Also - big shoutout to @hannesandersson who can now add logo designer to his CV alongside being my personal tattoo artist
There are so many experiences that fuel creative thinking 💭 exhibitions (preferably with an arty friend to compare notes), exploring a new city, the art form of cinema (Poor Things was a surrealism DREAM), taking time for yourself (airplane mode on ✈️) or taking creativity from the social media world into the physical realm (collaging with @lockehotels ✂️)
