march 20 marks the point in earth's orbit when the sun crosses the celestial equator, resulting in nearly equal hours of daylight and darkness.
over the frame of 6 courses, you will be taken on a sapid journey through grains, earth, pomegranates, nightshades, ashes…
each course will subtly enrich your senses to passing and shedding of winter, inspired by photographs of a small volcanic archipelago off the northern coast of sicily.
the body slowly remembering spring, fertility, new beginnings, and the quiet ritual of coming together, to mark the return of the sun and the fire horse.
pagan practices have long marked the equinox this way, feasting, bonfires and rites, to welcome the renewal of life.
you are most welcome to come solo, or bring a friend, a parent, a lover, a stranger.
