Now that it’s getting a bit colder it’s time for some cold photos. These images are from my first trip to Iceland.
The first image is actually the very first exposure on my camera from the trip, we got off the plane, picked up the rental car then headed out on the south coast road. To our amazement we were greeted with a stunning marshmallow pastel sky. Totally not the moody sky I was expecting in March in Iceland!
Luckily I’d put my camera on the back seat just in case. So I grabbed the camera and started shooting out the front window whilst Emma was driving. I love it when snow has such synergy with a pastel sky, reflecting and wrapping the whole scene with soft colour. Pretty happy with the result! My favourite is the second slide.
This was the first of many unforgettable Iceland moments that I’m looking forward to sharing. So stay tuned 🚙💨
Sunrise at Ladies Window, Cornwall. If you walk through the window be careful as there is only a narrow walkway and then a straight drop to the ocean crashing against the rocks 50 metres below 🌊
Trip down to the coast? Long weekends are on the horizon, time to pack the Jeep and head on another adventure! Toot toot 🚙💨💨 Which is your favourite 1, 2, 3/4?
Went for a camp in the Cotswolds with @kindergabber . We found this sneaky spot down a dead end road. We arrived before dark and luckily there was just enough space to hide the Jeep under the trees. Next we set the bbq up, chucked some burgers and corn on. Anyone not tried a beyond meat burger? They are next level, you defo should. After dinner we poked our heads out from under the trees to see a clear night sky. With a beer in hand we jumped on the bonnet and watched the stars before calling it a night 🍻🍻
Trees are great aren’t they? I’m super happy that trees are getting planted all over the place, and all those ‘businesses’ are getting carbon neutral. I know there is an argument against it but I think it’s a good thing. Plant more trees!!
Last post of the year. If I can take a positive from 2020 it’s got to be that against the odds we build a boat from the ground up, and now it’s our off grid home. The Orca will be making an appearance on the old gram in the new year. Can’t wait to show everyone that! For now it’s back to my favourite place, Haweswater. Maybe next year I’ll be lucky enough to see this pace in the snow. See you on the other side
This dude was the King. Stood way up on the hilllside he looked done at us as we approached him from a far. He was a friendly chap. I can’t remember where this was but it was an amazing drive on single track roads with views as far as you can imagine, somewhere on the way to Wast Water from the east.
Great Gable looking all mysterious with its peak shrouded in a cloak of clouds. A sense of calm in this image, anyone else feel that? Also a fan of the negative space in this one 👌
