The organization helps her fellow amputees access the prosthetics, water safety training, and confidence through the Paralympic movement that helped Ali rebuild her life — and with $100,000 raised from Stronger Than You Think’s first-ever Swim-A-Thon this month, things are looking brighter than ever ☀️
Today, Ali is a Sports Illustrated Swimsuit model, public speaker, and avid baker. Her journey to recovery isn’t over, but she’s determined every day to, in her own words, “take this bad thing that happened to [her] and use it for good.”

Three years ago this month, I lost my leg — and nearly my life — in a shark attack. For a long time, I didn’t think feeling beautiful or confident was something meant for me anymore, let alone in a bikini.
And I definitely never thought I’d be a 2 x Sports Illustrated Swimsuit model!
