For the third year in a row My Queer Blackness, My Black Queerness (MQBMBQ) has partnered with Tuscan artists residency Villa Lena (@villalena ) in support of fully funded residencies for Black Queer Artists. As we embark on our second year in collaboration with Italian luxury brand @loropiana , today we announced the three talented artists who have been accept and will partake in the programme later this year.
Jordan Ali Boucicaut (he/him) @alitheway is a musical artist, composer, cellist, and conductor currently based in New York City. Growing up immersed in classical music and living as a first-generation American of Haitian and Guyanese descent has allowed Boucicaut to develop the unique perspective that would shape his musical artistry. As a writer and teacher, he explores his worldview of music as a philosophy of life. He inspires readers to search for the depth and meaning of music in their individually felt, lived experience.
