✨ Research Week in Luxembourg ✨
Last week, we welcomed Jessie Jeanne Stinnett (
@jessiejeannedances ), Co-Artistic Director of
@bostondancetheater , to Luxembourg for an inspiring week of research into Hildegard von Bingen’s visionary world - exploring viriditas (the life force that animates all living things), inter-relational movement, music, and ecology as a living choreographic language in the studios of
@lestheatresvdl .
We were also delighted to welcome three wonderful Luxembourg-based dancers into the studio with us: Aifric Ní Chaoimh (
@aifricnichaoimh ) Alisha Leyder (
@alishaleyder ), and Edyta Jeder-Ilasz (
@edytajegerilasz ). 💫
Together, we dove into Hildegard’s music, lyric texts, and visionary artworks, transforming them into dynamic, polyphonic ensemble structures where voices, bodies, and lines of attention braid and unbraid, echoing chant, breath, and organic growth. 🌿🎶
This research marks the beginning of a new collaborative initiative, where traditional and contemporary perspectives meet and resonate through a transatlantic lens.
More to come as this inter-relational world continues to gather shape ✨
