I had the pleasure of designing the artwork for a super special record by @michaacher of @the.notwist ๐๐ป Henry and the Ghosts Songbook is a collection of songs from Michaโs songbook, performed beautifully with chamber music instrumentation. The music, although instrumental, feels beautifully narrative driven, I pictured a lot stories while listening and drawing. Go pre-order it. Oh and my daughter did a drawing for the artwork too!

On โSongbookโ Michaโs aim was, as he says, to find out how the familiar pieces sound in a chamber music instrumentation. Therefore he met with ๐ง๐ต๐ฒ๐ฟ๐ฒ๐๐ฎ ๐๐ผ๐ถ๐ฏ๐น (bass clarinet, piano), ๐ง๐ถ๐บ๐บ ๐๐ผ๐ฟ๐ป๐ฒ๐น๐ถ๐๐ (bassoon), ๐ ๐ฎ๐ฟ๐ธ๐๐ ๐ฅ๐ผ๐บ (guitar, banjo, electronics) and ๐ฆ๐ถ๐บ๐ผ๐ป ๐ฃ๐ผ๐ฝ๐ฝ (drums, percussion) in his living room for a musical sรฉance in the summer of 2022. The sรฉance lasted two days. Afterwards, Markus Rom (Oh No Noh), added some haunting electronical ideas.
