I saw this quote recently about the wedding industry saying “we sit at the intersection of art and hospitality” and I can’t stop thinking about it. For a long time I didn’t know why I ended up in this job, let alone thrived in it. Growing up I always thought I’d end up in the human/social services world. Always getting jobs like teacher, counselor, or social worker (all jobs I’ve been there done that btw) on career tests. For a long time I thought with being a wedding florist I had abandoned my calling of social services. But honestly, I think I’ve actually hit the jackpot in finding the coolest sector of the service world. We spend hours designing, sourcing, thinking, and problem solving, all to serve, to share it, with 100s of guests. Using art to share and celebrate love. The wedding industry is such a special group of servers. I’m focusing on hanging out at my cross road of art and hospitality with the best humans in 2026, and loving it. 🤍🍅
