🔈Audio ON 🔈 I used the #mediapipe implementation for #touchdesigner by @blankensmithing and @domscott.art to track my hand and drive a well known fluid simulation patch by @dotsimulate Sending the mediapipe data through OSC, i then used the same hand tracking input to generate sound in #maxmsp and the finger tracking to send note on/off midi messages. The frequency of the oscillator is sent back to Touchdesigner to gradually change the color of the fluid accordingly. I had so much fun and i encourage anyone to experiment using max msp and touchdesigner in combination as the possibilities are really endless! In the context of the exhibition “Quando sei qui con me” I had the pleasure of conducting workshops with @liceo.artistico.ancona students. We delved into the world of multimedia art, we ran trough the basics of computer science for real time applications and i showed the basic layout of an interactive installation using common sensors. We used a microphone to generate visuals in @touchdesigner and an ultrasonic sensor paired with Arduino UNO to generate sound in Max/MSP. Glad i had the opportunity to discuss the potentialities of new media art with a new generation of artists. #newmedia #touchdesigner #maxmsp #arduino #creativecode

Astounding occurrence with @cesarettigabart , we shared this newly inaugurated space, Galleria Mannucci at @liceo.artistico.ancona and combining the evocative power of Gabriele’s masterpieces and the magic of science i tried to channel we created a unique hybrid experience of raw artistic material and multimedia art. Using computer vision linked to a webcam i used the position of the observer of the outstanding painting of @cesarettigabart to interact with sound accordingly. I’m deeply thankful to @liceo.artistico.ancona that chose us to inaugurate the gallery, open it up for the public and have a talk with their students. In the past few months i’ve been working on a wearable device based on Arduino that translates bioelectrical signals into sound. The value reading is done by an EMG sensor and once the signal has been digitalized by Arduino, @touchdesigner let me translate the incoming signal into sound allowing to drive Vital synth parameters through his audioVst CHOP. I had the pleasure and the privilege of teaming up with professional ballerina @elenaajani and with dramaturg @laura.venturini.89 to produce InComunicabiLIS 2.0: ricerca multimediale fantasonica, an experimental approach to body movement, and we displayed our first exhibition during Collagene @das.bologna We deeply thank @das.bologna what a ride!
