HFBB003: @alfiegrieve & @jakeohealy - ‘Paradise For Now’ Grieve (of @rwkusband ) & Healy (of @sugarhorse.are.awful ) are newcomers to the scene, crafting sample-based music rooted in the legacy of 90s jungle and hardcore. Drawing from their Bristol heritage, their productions carry a raw edge while tapping directly into the listener’s emotions. “Paradise For Now came from the desire to carve out a temporary escape, a fragile slice of calm in a world that feels locked in constant crisis. A fleeting moment of peace, with an underlying sense that something isn’t quite right.” Available via our Bandcamp and on all platforms as part of our recent HFBB003 track drop (w/ @2peng.uk @sweetly.mcr @simmo.etc @tallboy.josh ) Mastered by @dddualityyy HFBB004 DROPS NEXT WEEK… #jungle #hardcore #london #dj

Bristol-based trio RWKUS are making waves on the UK’s live electronic scene, bridging the gap between club culture and contemporary jazz. Their amalgamation of UK electronic dance music influences has led to a complete redefinition of the RWKUS sound. The trio’s musical interaction makes their live show engaging and interconnected—ebbing and flowing with improvisational prowess. Quench your thirst with their tune ‘Ice Cold Bena’. The track was born out of an improvisation we recorded at Crossleaze farm studios. It begins like a refreshing drink on a summer’s day. Take your dinghy and let the current glide you around a lazy river while you bask in the sun. Like all RWKUS tracks, it is served Ice cold. Glossolalia bring forward a new sound, textured with deep-spacious electric keys washes, grounded by warm bass-lines and alive with percussive detail. It’s music for open minds, tempted by the moments where rhythm feels like language. With their debut song ‘Polarity’ around the corner, We’re buzzing to welcome them back to the Galli - where it all began. ‘Ice Cold Bena’ and ‘Polarity’ feature on ‘Something In The Water’ released 28/11 on @severn_songs . With support from @bristolbeerfactory .

Greetings, Me and @alfiegrieve have been collaborating again on new tunes this year and focusing our attention on a mutual love of all things breakbeat, hardcore, jungle and bass. We were lucky enough to get the OK from one of Bristol's finest bands @sansfroid.band to have a go at remixing the amazing Hardware Bruise from their debut album Hello, Boil Brain. The results came out as Hardcore Bruise, and we've put it out today as a free download on our Bandcamp for anyone who's keen to check out what we've been up to. It's a shift away from anyone who heard our last collab album Eggs in Purgatory, but for those who dig this, there'll be more tunes to come. For now enjoy - grieveandhealy.bandcamp.com (link in bio also) bigup Sans Froid xx

LIVE MUSIC - DOWN THE INN - TUESDAYS After a successful soft launch of our new jam night, we wanted to share a little bit more on what we have going on with our special new live music segment down the Inn. The jams are aimed towards the more experimental electronic rhythms and melodies found in the more dynamic live set up with our house bands set up including traditional instruments like a trumpet, harp and drums but also feature analog/digital gear like synths, samplers and modulars. Their jams draw influence from House, Ambient, Jazz, Hip Hop, Soul and Funk experimentation and really lock into the more psychedelic, dubbed-out, euphoric sounds that sound very very nice on our Danley Audio Labs sound system. We are aiming at this being a time for next wave of live music creatives on the Croft to come connect and play, the jams are open to everything and everyone to join. The next Outer Edges is next Tuesday - 15/10/24 FFO: Sun Ra, Al Wootton, Rhythm and Sound, Snazzback, Ishmael Assemble FREE ENTRY £4.50 Pints, £6 Lageritas & Negronis x
